A Pleasant Surprise - Don't Miss Tapa Tapa in Barcelona
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Tapa Taps and I must say, my initial concerns were completely unfounded. From start to finish, it was an incredible dining experience that I highly recommend to anyone visiting the city.
At first, I was a little worried about the location and size of the place, but as soon as I walked in, the friendly staff put me at ease. They greeted us warmly and seated us exactly where we wanted to be, ensuring we felt comfortable and well taken care of.
To kick off the evening, we ordered an Estrella Beer, which arrived perfectly chilled and refreshing. We also tried the pulpo a la gallega, and it was nothing short of amazing. The flavors were authentic and the octopus was cooked to perfection. It set the bar high for the rest of the meal.
Next, we indulged in the meat empanada and vieras skewers. Both dishes were a delight, bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The empanada had a savory filling encased in a flaky crust, while the vieras skewers offered a delightful combination of tender scallops and complementary ingredients. Each bite was a moment to savor.
We couldn't resist trying the pan con tomate, a classic Spanish dish, and it did not disappoint. The bread was crusty, the tomatoes were ripe and juicy, and the overall combination was simply heavenly.
To end our meal on a high note, we ordered two expressos. They were the perfect conclusion, offering a rich and satisfying caffeine kick.
I cannot emphasize enough how impressed I was with Tapa Pap. The quality of the food, the attentive staff, and the warm atmosphere all contributed to an exceptional dining experience. If you find yourself in Barcelona, don't miss the opportunity to visit Tapa Pap and indulge in their incredible tapas....

We were seated promptly but it took very long for both our drink and food orders to be taken. It took almost an hour to receive our 3 food items.
The food was highly questionable and far from appetizing. We ordered tomato bread, calamari, and paella. Not one of these was good. Of all 3, the tomato bread was the best item but only in comparison to the calamari and paella. The calamari was obnoxiously thick and chewed like rubber bands. There was absolutely no flavor to it and I couldn’t even bite through. We could tell from just its appearance alone that the paella was not going to be good. It smelled extremely fishy and tasted foul. It was burnt around the edges and very watery on the inside. Luckily we only tried very little of it otherwise I’m sure we would have gotten sick. I am confident the seafood used was old and not fresh.
We were expecting great food from Tapa Tapa, but we got the exact opposite. We ended up spending a lot of money just to waste an hour of time and reject most of our food. This place feels like a tourist trap and makes me question how they are in business with multiple locations. I would stay far away. Please don’t make the same mistake...
Read moreYesterday, we specifically came to your establishment, as we had visited it many times before. However, to our great disappointment, this visit turned out to be the last. You have lost regular customers due to complete disregard for the quality of your dishes and customer service.
We ordered shrimp, which turned out to be raw. At first, we ate one piece without realizing it, but when we started on the second, it became clear that they were completely undercooked. We returned the dish, it was taken away, but it was still included in the bill. When we raised our objections, we were refused a refund with the excuse that we had “eaten part of it.”
This is absolute disrespect toward your guests. We travel a lot, but we have never encountered such a terrible approach to customer service anywhere else. It’s a shame that a place that used to bring us only positive experiences has now become an example of how not to...
