We spontaneously visited GINOS in Córdoba for lunch and ordered two pizzas. Even though we didn’t have a reservation, we were seated immediately. The waitress who welcomed us, a friendly woman with dark hair tied in a ponytail, was extremely kind and warm.
A special mention goes to the olives served as a welcome appetizer—they were incredibly delicious. When we asked the waitress where we could buy such olives, she immediately showed us online where to find them. This level of service was really outstanding!
Shortly after, our drinks were brought by another waitress. Unfortunately, one of the drinks was accidentally spilled. For us, this was no problem—these things happen. However, we did expect a proper apology and for the spill to be cleaned up. Unfortunately, neither the table nor the floor was cleaned, and our bag, which got wet on the floor, was not attended to. Additionally, we were not offered a replacement drink, which we found disappointing.
Despite this, the pizzas were so delicious that we decided to return that evening. Due to religious reasons, we don’t eat anything that has come into contact with pork or non-halal meat. During our second visit, we noticed that the pizza chef was handling both types of meat. When we politely asked him to change his gloves, he responded with great respect, immediately washed his hands, and put on new gloves. We were thoroughly impressed by this respectful and accommodating reaction.
Apart from the incident with the one waitress, we were very satisfied with our visit and would definitely...
Read moreI have given this restaurant 5 stars for everything because the food was delicious and the service and atmosphere were great. This rarely happens. We went on a Sunday night and in the middle of the Carnavals, so the restaurant was very busy, but still they managed to serve very quickly. One thing that was important to me is that food gets to the table hot, and that s exactly how it comes. In the end we ordered too much food and took some pizza home. We shared a starter of provolone, which was delicious it could have done with extra bread to soak up all the cheese. As a main course, my husband had vegetarian pizza, and I had the tartufo fettuccine. Both are delicious and tasty. Be warned big portions, and if you like your pizza thin and crispy with loads of vegetables, then you hit the jackpot here. The dessert, my favourite part of the meal, was a chocolate coulant with ice cream mmm to die for. Even though I was full, there is always space...
Read moreAbsolutely dreadful! After being seated (where we could sit was debated over by the waitresses - the place was nearly empty!) we waited over 10 minutes for order to be taken. Apart from the food we ordered a bottle of wine and a bottle of water. Eventually we received a glass of wine plus the water - however they took the water glasses away! Having told them that it was a bottle NOT a glass that was ordered there were apologies and with that the staff disappeared for 25 minutes!! On threatening to leave the wine suddenly appeared - allegedly they didn't have a corkscrew (and in Spain at least 99% of wine has a cork!) We were also informed that our food was ready - it still took another 10 minutes to arrive luke warm. By this time I was too exhausted to complain further. A pleasant evening ruined. My advice? Avoid this place, there are plenty of GOOD restaurants in Cordoba. It got 1 star from me because you can't...
