I have no idea how this tour gets 5 stars, especially for visitors who only speak English. We were in a group of 20 of which probably 14 or so were Spanish speaking and 6 English speaking. Rather than separating us into two groups, our guide Cristina had to switch between the two languages. It seemed like at least 60% of her dialogue was in Spanish and the rest in heavily accented English. So for a tour which lasted 75 minutes only 30 minutes was in very difficult to understand English. Cristina also had to speak very rapidly in order to get through the dialogue in two languages in the allotted time. All in all, I think this was unfair both to her and to the English and Spanish speaking visitors who were both short changed in what should have a tour in one language only. My advice to those planning to visit Bodegas Alvaro Domecq: select a bodega which offers separate tours in either English or Spanish, otherwise you will certainly not get your money's worth.
