This market is terrible. It absolutely reeks of rotting fish (fresh fish should not stink like this) and the smell is so pungent that it permeates the entire outdoor square surrounding it. Beyond the awful fish smell, I tried buying chicken from the most popular/crowded meat stall and I had to throw it out. The meat was literally white/grey and super soft and slimy and did not smell fresh at all. For a city that touts it's fine wine and culinary scene, the fact that its central market is so awful is perplexing. Hopefully, the "fine" restaurants nearby aren't getting their meat and seafood from this place. It's...

Ojo, no compren nunca en el puesto no 39 "frutas y verduras Javi". Es un timo total, te vende fruta podrida y no se hace responsable. Expuesta el Sr. Javi tiene fruta de buen aspecto (que no se puede tocar!!!), pero si pides te las da de atrás y no ves lo que te empaqueta. En casa me di cuenta de que la caja de fresas ya estaba media podrida con pelos. Nectarinas y melocotones igual, a tirar dos kilos. Parte de los rabanitos y paraguayos también. Por haber tenido que ser ingresada en urgencias en la misma tarde, no he podido regresar en seguida. Al recibir el alta, volví dos días después y he sido tratada de lo más desagradable por dos mujeres que estaban en el puesto por la mañana. Me dijeron que volviera entre las 14 y 15 horas cuando estuviera el jefe. Lo hice. Con el ticket de la compra y fotos de las cosas podridas. No estaba el "jefe" y me trataron muy mal las mujeres. Que ellas no tenían nada que ver con este puesto, hojas de reclamaciones no hay, tendría que ir en persona al ayuntamiento, que no me pueden dar el teléfono de este hombre, etc Luego vi que el ticket tenía el número de teléfono y llamé. Otra vez lo mismo con el "Javi" este. No se hace responsable, etc. Y puso mi llamada en espera y ya no volvió.

El día de la venta me creería guiri de paso y qué más da.

Servicio pésimo, fruta podrida y cara y nada de responsabilidad, respeto o sentido de servicio.

Great products : fresh fish, delicious fruit. Great prices. People are kind and eager to help. Can't miss the chance to eat this food. Habe a look at the clothes just outside at tha side door in the stalls. Its a luxury to have this food in the town.Much better than any other place. Local people don't usually buy fish on Mondays.
