Need to reserve times in advance with a reservation. Not toddler friendly in the sense of they can't go into cars and sit, and most of the things in display cases are not easily visible for toddlers because of height issues.

Thst said, an enjoyable way to spend a half hour to an hour. It is really worthwhile took be reasonable fluent in Spanish or to have a phone that can translate pictures from Spanish to English as all the signage is in Spanish. (Which is fair enough. This place is targeted at locals in Madrid. I have enough Spanish to understand things so not a concern.) Provides a really good history of the metro, with a focus on station construction and the cars.

The only disapppointment is you couldn't go into the cars and there didn't feel like a great deal of depth to the cars, with only what looked like three unique cars from the 103...

A fascinating glimpse of the past with the original Metro carriages arranged for a viewing, though it’s a shame that you can’t go into at least one of them, to feel the atmosphere. Behind the carriages are items such as doorhandles to switching gear, arranged in viewing cases. TIP: if arriving by the Metro, don’t leave by the barriers to go to the upper concourse, because the Metro museum is at the level of these barriers on the left-hand side. If you go up to the top concourse, as we did, very small signs point back the way you came and we spent 20 minutes going back-and-forth until we finally found somebody to take us back through the barriers and point to the entrance of the museum. It really is very...

The Museo Metro Chamartín is a space where you can discover the history of the Madrid Metro through an exhibition of classic trains and informative panels. It's one of the five historical spaces of the metro system and offers a glimpse into the past of this important mode of transport in Madrid Access: Advance reservation is required for guided tours and recommended for self-guided visits. Price: Free admission with a transport ticket. The tour guide was really nice a made the experience both...

Great place, where you can see some old metro 🚇 vehicles in a very good shape. Also in this exhibition it is possible to get information about the history of the Madrid metro 🚇. And all of that without paying any entrance fee. Sadly, you can't go inside these vehicles 😔. There are staff on site, who can answer any questions if needed.
