Smoking is not allowed in the room and to my knowledge there are no rooms with balcony. Hot shower and water pressure was pleasant, noises from other guests were not heard as everyone...

Stayed with 3 others in 2 rooms both near to reception. On 5th floor although there is a lift. 1st night very noisy at reception late at night and also noise of the buzzer to get in downstairs is so loud it woke us up on numerous occasions. Bought ear plugs for 2nd night. 1 room overlooking main road and noise from that was fine just reception and buzzer. Lady on reception was very helpful with maps and tickets etc. Looked after our luggage on our last day and arranged taxi to airport. Rooms were nice size, no English channels on TV, very hot in room and air con did not work. Maybe my expectations were too high as the price was excellent for the location. Just needs a few tweaks. Very good budget priced Hostel, very clean, fresh bedding & towels every day, BUT we did not realise there is NO lift, reception is on the first floor then you need to climb another floor or two to reach most of the rooms. We made the mistake of booking the Suite, the only one but it has virtually NO windows, 2 small rooms, both with TV & air con, NO windows!!! Small poorly equipped kitchen area with very small window, Definitely NOT worth the extra cost!!! Our friends had a superior room which was very nice & bright, lots of windows & seating area, but it was on the 4th floor. ||Our rooms were very quiet considering the location as they looked into a central area.
