Amazing food but and a big BUT, completely ruined by possibly the owner or a family member of his. So to cut a long story short we were seated at a lovely table but, shortly after 2 drunk men who thought they were intimidating came into the restaurant. They walked inside and knew the owners and bar staff/waitresses. They got treated like royalty and the staff pandered to them, completely forgetting about us. The lady who served us was lovely but, we were sat a stones throw away from the two drunk males who stared at us the entire time we ate making slurred drunk comments that I wouldn’t repeat and blowing smoke at us and the poor couple next to us who looked scared. We tried our best to ignore them but, it naturally made us feel uncomfortable. Little did they know my partner speaks Italian and therefore understood some of the Spanish lingo and there drunken ramblings. Staring at girls in the restaurant calling them awful things and just being intimidating. They were sat on the middle table of two with us one side and another couple the other. You could touch each others tables it was that close. They then took a liking to the poor girl on the table next to them sat with her boyfriend. They made awkward comments and asked her to lift up her pizza for them to look at. She and her fella looked so uncomfortable and the harassment of them continued. They then finally clearly felt so intimidated they got the pizza to takeaway and left. It’s a real shame because, had they not have come in it would have been amazing experience. Instead we rushed our food feeling uncomfortable as they stared at us, blew spoke at us and the other table and made them feel so uncomfortable they left. Whilst normally I would not leave a negative review as the restaurant can’t help there clientele, the fact this man was clearly the owner or family of the owner makes this unacceptable. I feel like this review may help highlight to the management there staff or family members poor behaviour will cost them custom. It’s such a shame to write this review but, I believe from conversation this was the owners brother. I am sure if the owner knew what his brother was doing he would not be happy. Hopefully this review gets him banned from turning up drunk and scaring off customers. Real shame the staff allowed this and seemed to be scared of them as it ruined ours and others experience. The food though was 10/10....
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Paparazzi in Nerja and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish.
The moment we stepped into Paparazzi, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant’s interior is charmingly decorated with a blend of rustic Italian and modern chic elements, creating a cozy yet elegant environment. Soft lighting and tasteful decor set the perfect mood for a delightful evening.
The service at Paparazzi was impeccable. From the friendly welcome to the attentive waitstaff, every aspect of our service experience was top-notch.
Now, onto the highlight of the evening – the food.
We started with the burrata. For the main course, my wife chose the Spaghetti Fruti di Mare, while I opted for the Spaghetti Carbonara. The pasta was cooked to perfection, with a creamy and rich sauce that was simply divine. Both dishes exemplified authentic Italian flavors at their best.
To conclude our meal, we shared a Tiramisu. It was light, creamy, and had the perfect hint of coffee – a flawless ending to our dinner.
Our dinner at Paparazzi was nothing short of amazing. The combination of exquisite food, exceptional service, and delightful ambiance made for an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you’re a fan of Italian cuisine or simply looking for a fantastic place to dine in Nerja, Paparazzi is a must-visit.
We left the restaurant with full hearts and satisfied palates, eager to return for another memorable meal. Thank you, Paparazzi, for making our...
Read moreTo be fair, our pizzas were delicious. But there were a couple of things that annoyed me about the service. It was busy yet we got a table after a few minutes wait. It was around the side of the building which i thought was fine but on reflection i think this area is somewhat neglected by the staff. The table was set yet dirty. I asked for it to be cleaned and it was sprayed and wiped. I asked for new napkins, they never arrived. A number of waiters noticed we had no menus yet we still waited for them to be brought. Our order was taken quickly and drinks arrived quick enough too. However my daughters pizza arrived and mine didn't. After approx 15 minutes I managed to bring this to the attention of a staff member (green shirt) who said 'yes it's on its way. It still didn't arrive. A male waiter passing noticed I had no plate and asked what was missing and my pizza arrived a few minutes later. When I complained it was explained that the kids pizza is taken as a starter but seeing as the only order was for 2 pizzas the waiter should have noted the 2 to arrive together. I had noticed a family of 4 sat beside me had received 2 dishes and waited for the other 2 dishes to arrive later so this appears to be an issue. Because I complained and made my annoyance known I was offered free dessert but at that stage it was too late and the service too slow too accept this gesture. It's a busy restaurant and some of the waiting staff were extremely nice and pleasant and clearly doing their best but I...
