Good food, but some details could be improved

We ate at this Italian restaurant and overall had a nice experience. I had the Torino pizza, which was excellent — flavorful, nicely baked, and made with good ingredients. My girlfriend ordered the Caesar salad, but unfortunately the dressing was overly rich and quite greasy — honestly, it was a bit sickening.

The terrace is spacious and pleasant, but there’s a strange rule about smoking: you’re not allowed to smoke at your table, even though it’s all outdoors. Instead, they send you to a random ashtray placed in the middle of the terrace — which feels a bit awkward, especially after a meal. It would make more sense to let people smoke at their own table or at least offer individual ashtrays.

Despite these issues, the food was good and the place deserves 4 stars. Just a few small changes could make the whole experience...

We recently visited La Fuente for the first time and were so impressed that we went back for more! The pasta dishes were amazing, full of rich flavors, and the freshly baked pizza was a hit with our son. Despite the restaurant being busy, they were more than accommodating for our party of three on both occasions.

The staff made our experience even more enjoyable. The owner was friendly and welcoming, and the waiter had a fantastic rapport with our son, keeping him entertained with little jokes. The waitresses were knowledgeable and happy to recommend dishes and wine, adding a personal touch to our dining experience. Even though the place was bustling, we never felt rushed through our meal.

Overall, La Fuente offers great value for money with delicious food and a warm, inviting atmosphere. We highly recommend it and will definitely be returning if we visit...

This is one of the worst restaurants I have ever had the misfortune to visit. Despite the fact that there were no customers in the restaurant and loads of waiters and waitresses fooling around. Starter was OK but the calamari was quite rubbery. My second dish was spaghetti vongole, normally a nice dish with fresh clams in a wine sauce. The meal was peppered with an idiot waiter who kept bringing strange items to the table! Would you like more pork? And then a squeaky pig arrived on the table??? The waiter brought me uncooked clams to show me how fresh they were and that was where it got worse as they stank and were just lumps of rotting snot!!! Never again. I refused a replacement dish as my stomach was...

Absolutely loved this place! We were so impressed by the variety on the menu—especially the vegan options. They even had vegan mozzarella, which was such a treat! They also cater for coeliacs, which makes it a great spot for all dietary needs. We ended up coming here for the last few nights of our trip to Nerja because we enjoyed it so much. The drinks are amazing—delicious and great value! On our first night, we had the vegetarian pizza with Aperol Spritz (perfection), and on the second night, we went for pasta and, of course, more Aperol. The staff were absolutely lovely, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. They also accommodate large groups, which is such a bonus. Highly recommend if you’re in Nerja!
