The smell of seawater tickled my throbbing nostrils as I pushed aside the low, limp tree leaves and stepped out onto the sand. The sea welcomed me with open arms. The waves came rushing towards me as I sauntered towards the shimmering turquoise waters. Far ahead, in the distance, I could just discern the reflection of the setting fireball. The water was on fire — like my sore heart; streaks of gold, amber and a shade of red (that I was too heavy-headed to distinguish, but knew was just about as red as my eyes) washed over the water. The waves kept playing “Touch n’ Go”; I splish-ed and splosh-ed my way along the coastline, letting my thoughts run wild over everything that was around me, while restraining them as well as I could, from going through the past… It didn’t matter anymore. Read moreLocated on the infamous Pine Walk, this thin stretch of beach is located towards the left (when facing the sea) away from the Port itself. The azure water is very welcoming and warm. It's a busy area yet the beach is not over crowded. There is plenty of shade under the many pine trees. It's relaxing and feels safe and carefree. Kleine Wellen und keine nennenswerte Strömung sind da auch vorteilhaft. Wenn man etwas abseits des Hauptstrands einen Platz sucht kann man mit etwas Glück sogar unter einem Baum Schatten finden. 6-12€ für eine Liege mit Sonnenschirm kann man sich dann sparen. Parksituation ist super, wenn man kein Problem hat 150-200m zu laufen.
