We were really looking forward to getting a pizza after seeing all the amazing reviews! We wondered in, saw a free table and sat down. To be clear, there was no queue and no member of staff resisted to us sitting on the table. We were then served by a very friendly member of staff who gave us a menu and we ordered drinks. At no point were we asked if we had reserved the table, leading us to believe that it was unreserved and fine for us to stay. Around 10 minutes later, the female manager with glasses approached our table and rudely asked ‘do you have a reservation?’. We clearly didn’t have a reservation as we had innocently sat down with nobody telling us any different! We were then rudely told to move / leave the table. After then waiting and being seated again, a very friendly member of staff served us and made us feel more welcome and apologised for the previous encounter with the manger. The manager then re-approached and continued to confront us, telling us that we should know that this is a restaurant you have to either book or queue for. I felt extremely judged and intimidated, resulting in us leaving before ordering food. I initially felt terrible for potentially ‘stealing’ a table - I understand that this is frustrating for both the restaurant and reserved customers and I massively apologise for this. However, the manager continued to belittle and intimidate us when there was just no need. I suggest they place staff at the front of the restaurant to welcome and seat people in the future to avoid any...
Read moreUnfortunate experience here earlier this week, disappointing as we as a family have visited dozens of times over the last few years.
A party of six, sat down but couldn't order any drinks as we were told only the manager took orders.
We had two menus on the table when we arrived but these were taken for other tables.
At this point we still hadn't managed to order any drinks. We were sat for over 20 minutes and each time we asked one of the four waiting staff we were told to wait.
Eventually we were asked what we would like to order but explained that we hadn't been given a menu or managed to order any drinks.
We were told we should have used the QR code. We explained that in the 30 minutes we had been sat there many other walk in tables had been seated and served whilst we were waiting and being told we had to wait.
The person serving us was extremely rude and abrupt, accusing us of not knowing how the restaurant worked and that a wait time of this long to get a menu or drink was normal.
We sadly left and went elsewhere and I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.
Disappointing as we've had some lovely meals in the past where we were able to order from a menu and indeed with any member of staff rather than one dedicated...
Read moreThis place isn’t bad but it’s not the 4.8 stars it shows up as. I initially made a reservation at another Italian restaurant and then found this place with higher reviews, but couldn’t make a reservation online (who wants to call?). On my way to the other place I had to walk past Voramar- the patio on the water was full and there were a couple of tables on the restaurant side occupied. When I got to my original restaurant, there was no one there and I wondered if I made the right choice so I cancelled the original reservation and went back to Voramar. I had the garlic bread which was fine and the pesto, which was fine but not nearly as fresh as I was hoping and I had just had excellent pesto in Soller so had high expectations. I had the house white wine which was also fine but nothing to write home about. All in all, the meal was decent but I wonder I missed at the other restaurant and am unlikely to revisit Voramar.
Follow up…I’m not saying this restaurant made me sick as I did have gelato after, but I did throw up for a bit afterward and it was mostly my...
