I’ve been meaning to write a review of Laguna for the last 5 years and am finally getting round to it now. We wanted to have a birthday party for our sun James, who was turning 7, but we’re unsure whether to do here or the RNCPP yacht club. We holiday in Pollenca every year and took local advice and went for Laguna, or Miguel’s as we call it after the owner himself. Miguel and his wife are incredible. No, this is not Nicki beach, or some Merlin owned theme park ran by people whom are either annoying teenagers or waiters chasing a tip; this is a family owned and ran beach club which for me, is perfect if you have kids, you’re out with the guys cycling or simply wanted brilliant quality local produced cooked by a brilliant chef and served to you by the owner. Places like these have become rarer and rarer to find and 6 years on we still have my sons birthday 🍰 party there, and now our daughters too. Miguel and his wife Miriame are the most amazing hosts you’ll meet and a trip to port de Pollenca without a trip here, isn’t an holiday. Where else can you swim, get served drinks by the pool, in which children are actually allowed lilos, unicorns 🦄 and floating donuts, order your food and Miguel will shout when it’s ready and time to come out??! There may be smarter places, but with kids what I want is family owned, family ran and family restaurant; welcome to Laguna. 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ they also do a brilliant Rum cocktail 🍹!!! Finally, even during Covid19 they had hand sanitizer, social distance and work masks 😷 the whole time; I can barely make it in & out of M & S with one! Top venue, top food & drinks, top...
Read moreWaitress so rude! Lots of reviews complaining about her, she is the problem of this place, she needs to go! They are super strict with their "rules" you must buy food & drink otherwise they don't want you there! She told off my 3 year old daughter because she was holding an unopened milkshake she had bought from the shop, how dare she speak to children that way! What did she expect!? Their drinks were appalling, I ordered a milkshake and it was a glass half full, and iced coffee which we threw away immediately. As soon as you enter she confronts you with a notepad to take an order, not even a menu! As soon as we walked in she told us we couldn't sit in certain loungers, nobody sat there the whole time we were there! They don't make you feel welcome at all, they just watch you're every move! She shouldn't get away with manners like that, disgraceful service! Better to go to the beach in peace than give...
Read moreThe Laguna is a bar, restaurant and pool complex which is open to all. There is no entry fee but the owner is quite strict about only consuming drink and food purchased on the premises which is quite understandable. There is a seating area inside with around 20 seats and tables, an outside dining area that caters for around 60 and about 30 sun loungers around a small pool.
The owner is very friendly and accommodating and food and drinks are served quickly. This is a great little place to go for a few hours but it can get busy at weekends so best to get there early. There is music playing around the pool and from time to time they...
