Pasta Haus — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

The worst experience I've had in Gothenburg in a long time. I had been there once before and knew the food was good so therfore I chose to revisit the place. It was a calm evening and yet we almost didn't get any attention from the waiters (three of them in a very small place). We ordered two drinks which got made by the owner, that were undrinkable and therfore we didn't drink them. When we were finished eating we asked for a doggy bag and instead the waiter just left a take away box on the table with a careless expression and left. When we asked them to pack it in the kitchen one of the waiters told us that "that's how they usually do it when they are busy" (...) which they cleary weren't.

To put the cherry on top, when we asked for the bill they told us we would have to pay first and then we would get it. We asked to get the cocktails remove from the bill since they were mixed completly wrong (I'm a bartender myself and thefore know) and also because we didn't drink them. When we got to talk with the owner he kept coming up with a bunch of nonsense excuses and after 10 minutes of discussing with him he removed only one of the drinks.

Completely disappointed with the whole experience and especially with the owner's attention. We will not be coming back.

We were a group of 6 people that visited this place on a Tuesday 17.00, it had gotten 5 out of 5 stars from a local newspaper so we had to try it. There are several Italian places on the same street but none of them was as crowded as this place by the time, which indicates its popular. In the 1,5 hour that we were there, 5 foodora curiers came to pick up food, so people really seem to enjoy the food.

What we thought? Portions were really generous! Almost 2 portions in one. Food was good! Service was on point, very friendly staff! Interior of the place was alright, not super cozy. However, what we reacted on was that they charged 10 kr for a glass of tapwater... it just makes a place seem cheap to me. Rather raise overall prices a bit. On the 6 of us that was 60 kr we spent that evening for regular tapwater haha. Its a bit of a turn-off i must say. All and all it was a...

I had made a reservation but still had to wait 20min to get a table. The restaurant was so full that they made us sit in the near by one( Da Vinci). We were given da Vinci’s menu and I had to ask to get pasta haus’s menu. We couldn’t order wine since it was not Pasta Haus and so we could order food only. I made the reservation for 19.30 and finally we ordered at 20.30. Food arrived at 21( not an issue). Worst experience. I had mentioned them in the reservation of it being a date.
