Sister and I chose this hotel based on the size of the rooms, lol, and were not disappointed during our June 2025 trip. Spacious, comfortable, great natural light, and a wonderful sliding door to bedroom for blocking morning light. Location is fantastic. You are at the base of Old Town which is a five minute uphill walk, and when you exit the front door, turn right, then right again down to the main street - you are beside Victorinox and Swatch on your right, and across the street to your left is Coop, an amazing department/grocery store. Kitchen was equipped with mini fridge and microwave; we ate at local restaurants or bought take out at Coop (as well as beer!). Water bottles were replaced daily. Bathroom was well lit and L'Occitane Verbena toiletries. Beds were comfortable - we had two twin beds. Super safe area and great to walk in - you are a ten minute walk (I go slowly) from the main tramway, and then you take that to the train station to visit other cities (we hit Montreux to visit the Freddie Mercury statue). You are ten minutes from le Jardin Anglais, Ferris Wheel, and Jet d'Eau. Perfect location, helpful front desk staff who speak fluent everything (!), and will make reservations for you at nearby restaurants. We enjoyed Le Perron just a few minutes away. Warning: Sundays are super quiet in Geneva, so get your snacks, meals, and treats from Coop the day before. Tourist restaurants are open but coming from Toronto, we were surprised at how very silent the town was on Sunday. You are located in a nice shopping district, and I was delighted to find the Mizensir store a few blocks away (exit to your left and walk five minutes). A wonderful Geneva specific candle and perfume shop with the creations of Alberto Morillas, LEGENDARY perfumer. In short, we loved our stay at Fraser Suites Geneva; comfy beds, great seating area (and desk area), fantastic location and helpful staff. Concierge saved us taxi fare in telling us to take the 10 tram out to the airport - easy peasy ride. NB: you will get a tram pass which means you travel for free on the tram, just have a copy on your phone in case an inspector asks. Spoiler alert: nobody every asked, but I was always ready to show the pass.|Highly...
Read moreSummary: Great location, nice facilities, friendly staff. Not great for long term stays. ||Details:||I’ve stayed in virtually every serviced apartment provider in downtown Geneva. The Hamlet, Swiss luxury apartments, even the Adina near the airport. Each has their quirks so I was excited to stay at Fraser Suites. ||Location is fantastic. Don’t think you can really get better. Right next to Coop City for your groceries as well. ||The facilities are by far the best, in my opinion. The rooms are comfortable, though the kitchen (esp refrigerator) is small if you’re really staying a long time esp compared to the Hamlet. There is a small gym which is fantastic, available full time. You can buy a nice breakfast in the morning. There’s even a small common area that people sometimes gather in. ||The staff is wonderful - friendly, always available. ||Oh and there is air conditioning that actually works. ||For long term stays, there are some challenges. ||Most importantly, housekeeping is only offered once weekly (despite what it says on the website - I was only offered weekly on check in). That doesn’t sound bad but there is no place to dispose of rubbish during the week, and the bins are small. The bathrooms have no exhaust which means your towels don’t really dry. For this reason alone, I probably wouldn’t stay here again on a stay longer than a few days. Which is sad because they advertise daily housekeeping. ||Second - laundry. Oh goodness. 65 suites in the building, 2 shared laundry machines that take 2.5h for each load. Good luck. Our experience at the Hamlet with a washer dryer in the apt, or Swiss Luxury where they will do laundry for you daily, is infinitely more convenient. Again, for a few days, no issue. For a longer stay… really quite inconvenient. ||Lastly, and most minor but I figured I’d mention - every other place has some minor conveniences available. Coffee / tea in the common areas. Bottles of water available in the common area. ||All of these are first world problems for sure. Overall it is a very nice stay. But if you’re looking for a comfortable long term stay when you’re here for work, the need to fix some things...
Read moreThis is a very clean, comfortable, pleasant hotel in the very heart of Geneva. We found it to be incredibly convenient to our location for work purposes. The hotel has a good breakfast and the kitchen space in our room was wonderful. We were glad to have the amenities it had. The hotel was VERY quiet and the bed incredibly comfortable. The front desk staff were pleasant, kind, and accommodating with every request. |The one knock is the lack of closet space in the classic suite. All of the hanging space is "half" space that accommodates a pants and suit jacket; there was no place at all for me to hang my dresses, and there were only 2-3 hangers. This was surprising to me in such a modern hotel and in this day and age of both genders traveling for business. Additionally, there's very little hanging space or hooks in the bathroom; finding places to hang our towels and robes was difficult at best. |We did find as Americans we could not get the room as cool as we'd like, but I think that's just how it is in Geneva, and it is understandable (that's on us, I think). |It was quite pricey, but in that area of the city, that's simply how things are. |In summary: great location, really quiet, very pleasant, fantastic staff, needs more...
