BE AWARE this hotel has another building that is offered as Pinto rooms (MISLEADING), which is advertised as being part of the hotel when you book when it actually is a partner 3 star hotel at the bottom that does not have a reception and the rooms have no phones. We were told that we were at the wrong hotel when we arrived in front of all the people checking in and the guy said that if we wanted to stay there that they could offer us an upgrade. For real!!! Then once we showed them the reservation with their hotel logo in their email they told us to take our luggage down the parking ramp and then with a key we had to go down hill the parking ramp and open a red door on the side of a restaurant after a flight of stairs on the side to go to our room in the 3 star section. We made the reservation months in advance. Humiliating!!! The staff offered us to give us the parking for free and we even refused. We don’t want their money or an upgrade. Terrible experience!!! Terrible costumer service. Very misleading website. I just want to warn people so they know!!!! We told them there were dirty dishes in the hallway on top of a bookcase and 5 hours later they were still there. We considered checking out a day earlier and the same guy that checked us in told us they would not refund us our money for the second night. No refund outside of the taxes. Unbelievable experience. And mistreatment from the staff made a first day a sad day!!! Below we show you pictures to see the pinto room section. The room was clean but there no phone. You really feel treated like you are worthless if you get the pinto rooms. Which when we book was only like 30 euros more expensive. We though it was just a different type of room. Update!! Dirty dishes in the hallway still sitting there on day 2 !!!! Update2: after spending one night already and noticing the night before that our bathroom window did not have anything to cover the frosted glass and after my husband took a shower and I noticed that oddly the frosted glass seemed to be see-through and I somewhat cover some of the window we decided to check before showering again the next day and noticed that the frosted glass was possibley installed backwards so everybody was able to see us taking showers ( we made a video), we went to the reception and I was so disappointed and embarrassed I started crying. Then the manager was there miraculously and she came to us, listened to what had happened. We were tired as we did the jungfrouch that day and she offered us to change rooms to a room where the bathroom windows were covered ( in the newer section of the hotel). She was extremely nice and for the fist time we felt that someone listened. She gave us access for breakfast the next day before checking out. We are beyond grateful to her. It’s sad however that the whole experience added an extremely bittersweet taste to our trip. We were looking forward sooo much to spending time in Grindelwald and we were happy as the hotel seemed really nice. We got room 14 at the PINTO building the first night. Please make sure the bathroom window has a cover or they will see you naked!! Unless the fix the window. It was hard for me to sleep that night, I should have drank more of the Prosecco the manager gave us but anyway, that was our experience. UPDATE3: JUNE/4/2023 Tanja thank you so much for listening to us, we appreciate you taking the time to answer to our review. I started the review before you stepped in. We are extremely grateful for the way you treated us. It is extremely difficult to be satisfied with being exposed naked in front of other guests with see-through windows in the bathroom of our pinte room. I hope you don’t think we just wanted an upgrade, but the thought monuvering ways to cover the bathroom window seemed excessive when we were so tired that night. The pinte rooms are okay. I added the screenshot showing that your own website still shows there is a telephone in the room. That’s still misleading for future guests. We are not dissatisfied. We are just very embarrassed. It’s a terrible feeling.

You can check out the review I made in the video below. https://youtu.be/P-aeaXOTitg?si=qUN27wTW0MudHjhw - Location: The hotel is centrally located in Grindelwald, offering stunning views of the Eiger North Face. Its proximity to major attractions is excellent, with the Grindelwald First cable car station just a short walk away, making it perfect for both winter sports and summer hiking. - Facilities: The hotel beautifully blends modern design with a traditional Alpine chalet style. One of the highlights is the 800m² 'Fire and Ice Spa,' which includes multiple saunas and an outdoor whirlpool. This spa area was definitely a favorite during my stay. - Rooms: The rooms are spacious and well-equipped with modern amenities. I particularly appreciated the Nespresso coffee maker, daily restocked minibar, and yoga mats. For those looking for a touch of luxury, some rooms come with private saunas and fireplaces. - Dining: Dining at the on-site restaurant, BG's Grill, was a delight. The breakfast and dinner offerings were excellent, with a wide variety of high-quality food to choose from. - Service: The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Their dedication to cleanliness and customer service was evident and greatly appreciated. You can check out the review I made in the video below. https://youtu.be/P-aeaXOTitg?si=qUN27wTW0MudHjhw - Price: The hotel is on the expensive side, especially during peak seasons. While the experience was luxurious, I did feel that the value for money could be better. - Parking: On-site parking is available but at an additional cost, and spaces can be limited. This was a bit inconvenient for me as I had to plan ahead for parking. - Crowdedness: Due to its popularity, the hotel can get quite busy, particularly during high season or weekends. I noticed some congestion during check-in, which took longer than expected. You can check out the review I made in the video below. https://youtu.be/P-aeaXOTitg?si=qUN27wTW0MudHjhw

This was such a great hotel for our stay in Grindelwald. With its partnership with Hyatt, we were able to use Hyatt points for free night stay here for two nights (only thing was a charge for city tax). The hotel is about a 7 minute walk from the Grindelwald train station. They do have a shuttle that starts at 3:00 but since we arrived before then, we hauled our stuff through the Main Street to get to the hotel. After passing the avocado bar on the right, the hotel is situated on the left up the hill. Yes it’s up the hill so you can either walk on the street right before the parking garage up to the hotel or walk up the stairs. We were greeted with fresh lemonade and water and they got us checked into our rooms. With Hyatt, they upgraded us to a Bergwelt luxury room which had a balcony overlooking the surrounding mountains. The rooms were on the smaller end (around 32 square meters as described on our Hyatt website), but it was pretty spacious for two people. The bathroom was very nice and had a heated towel rack! The breakfast was a great spread! Coffee, a whole fruit, meat, and cheese section, an omelette bar, eggs/sausage/bacon, and a table with fresh juices. If you arrange it with the front desk, you can also get breakfast to go if you’re trying to head up to Jungfraujoch early and will miss breakfast (it was a ham and cheese sandwich, banana, apple, and a sweet treat). My only complaint was that the room was so hot. I don’t know if they had air conditioning but our thermostat was set all the way to the left (the “-“). We even opened up the door but it attracted quite a bit of flies. Overall, I would definitely stay here again if I was planning another trip to Grindelwald. It’s in an excellent location close to attractions such as First, dining/shopping in Grindelwald, and minutes away from the Grindelwald station.

The Bergwelt Grindelwald was a great choice for our short and sweet trip to Grindelwald. The hotel felt elegant from the moment we stepped inside. We arrived a little early, so checked our luggage in with the front desk, and proceeded to explore this quaint town. The front desk let us know our bags would be brought to the room for us when we came back to check in. After a few hours of exploring, we were surprised to check into our room, and not find our luggage (as promised). We had to call down to the desk for them to bring it to us. (Not a huge deal, as it did not take long, however, a small annoyance) We were greeted with a hand written note, some snacks, and two bottles of bubbly to celebrate our arrival. (cute!) We decided to go out to dinner that night, and once we returned to our hotel, we were again surprised to see the room wasnt turned down. For the price, this was specifically a major dissapointment. The snacks we didnt eat were still out, our wet shower towels werent replaced, and nothing in the room was "tidied". Overall, we had a "good" stay. The no AC was brutal during the hot month of September, and the very small fan did not do much to circulate. Only on the second day were we informed about the room fan, which was a bit annoying after dripping sweat all night the first night. The breakfast in the mornings was great, fresh fruit, selection of bakery items, eggs, bacon, sausage, and fresh juice. We enjoyed that very much. Overall, we'd give a solid 3.5 for this specific stay. Grindewald in general, I wish we could give 10!

My wife and I stayed here for 6 days of our long delayed honeymoon in early May and absolutely loved it. It is a smaller hotel, but has a beautiful view and location overlooking the Eiger. It is definitely luxe luxury, especially their fantastic restaurant BG's grill which we ate at twice. Complimentary breakfast is fantastic and includes an omelette station as well as TONS of other food and drinks. The Seven Spirits Bar inside of the hotel is excellent as well, and Rafael really took care of us during our visit - we had a few fun nights with drinks at the bar since most of Grindelwald closes early. The Fire & Ice Spa, Indoor/Outdoor pools, saunas, gym and other facilities are beautiful and clean - we visited just about every day of our visit. The massage therapists are top notch and so friendly! The rooms are beautiful designer rooms with great soundproofing and the staff is incredibly accommodating, though our only issue is that there was no actual cold air blowing AC (though it says there is when booking) - it gets colder at night though, so just crack the window open and problem solved. Close proximity to Grindelwald Station (5-7 min walk) and restaurants. Would definitely return in the future. Stunning place. Thank you, we loved our stay as well as the staff that took care of us!

Smoke and mirrors - Roof top suite is actually under the eaves of the roof. Our room promised an Eiger view, however, room did not have a view of the Eiger, it looked right out on the building next door which removed any chance of privacy unless your shades were drawn. This was a problem because the room is also very dark even with every light turned on. Ceiling is sloped on one side making the room seem much smaller and awkward. Our room online appears to have a fireplace, however, what they have are appliances that produce smoke and colored light (might as well have a video of a fireplace on the TV). In addition, the smoke and light appliance is on the same wall as the bed so no way to see it unless you're sitting 10 feet away on the other side of the room. Poor water pressure and there is no door on the bathroom or the shower making it impossible to get warm after turning off the shower. No way to turn off the room air fan, which ran 24/7 our entire stay, and was a nuisance at night when trying to sleep. Also, no way to control the temperature of the room except for opening the door. The good - staff was helpful and attentive, breakfast was outstanding, dinner was very good and the dinner service staff was excellent. Indoor pool was nice, outdoor spa was acceptable.
