We booked an adult group for early/intermediate, as my wife wanted to start parallel skiing and is comfortable with snow plow turns. The ski lesson had 2 other people. One of the people was a very new skier and 2 hours of the lesson was spent on the magic carpet where my wife and another person didn't learn anything. Instructor really only spent about 30mins of a 3 hr lesson with my wife and the other person while the rest of the time was spent with the very new skier. The new skier even admitted that she was very new and only skied once or twice. Instructor did her best as she had to spend a lot more time with the beginner there should of been someone that would of split this new person into a lower level class or taken the other 2 with other instructors standing talking to each other. For 99chf we should of done a private lesson as our time was more valuable due to only being there for a couple days. Be prepared to struggle with parking and wait for buses from first to Bodmi. Doesn't flow very well and we wasted a full day pass getting back and forth. Look at other ski schools before booking with this place. Only last resort!
We expected more from a very reputable ski school where we had friends do lessons with you before so we are very...
Read moreWhat a great experience we had with OUTDOOR.
We were a family of 3. 2 adults and 1 child aged 8. We went with the "learn to ski in 3 days" package which is incredible value. 3 days with a private instructor and it includes ski rental. Everyone in OUTDOOR was very accommodating. The ski rental was great. Picked up on the morning with no issues. The lads in the fitting area were great. We didn't have to drop back the gear until after the last day.
We spent the 3 days in the Bodmi arena which was perfect for our beginner level. With easy slopes and magic carpets to some harder runs with the T lift. It is a great area.By day 3 we were on the T lift but if we were all adults it would have been sooner.
The ski instructor from ski swiss school was Tobias and he was brilliant. He was patient and understanding throughout the 3 days and is a credit to the swiss school and Bodmi Arena. A legend and he really made our holiday! Thanks Tobias and...
Read moreEasy access and affordable ski area near town for beginners. Affordable parking available. Friendly and helpful staff. Only thing is pretty much zero food options when we were there (we brought grocery supplies and had a picnic in the car) but during high season I understand there is a restaurant and a food truck. The slope is a nice incline to practice skiing/snowboarding and the magic carpet is easy to use and nice and long. There is a sledding area and they have on-site sled and ski rental (less options for snowboards though). There is a back slope with a tow rope you can pay a bit more to use but we didn't use it. The magic carpet here is far longer than the one at Mannlichen and the Mannlichen magic carpet slope is too gentle, so if you're not ready for a tow rope slope yet, BODMI is a much...
