Mövenpick — Attraction in Zurich

I already felt that something was wrong by the fact that people cannot enter the place without paying first. This felt very mafia- and scam-like.

I got a pistachio ice cream. I am 100% sure that they take the ice cream from the supermarket and then pretend they make it. It was awful, nothing like real pistachio.

Also, CHF 4.50 is the minimum price for an ice cream that, I repeat, tastes no better than the supermarket one. Or probably that is even better than what I had here. 4.50 is normal for Zurich, I know, but what they offer is definitely not worth those 4.50 francs!

To recap: very bad vibe from the beginning (man with an angry face that makes you buy stuff before even entering the place), confirmed later on when you taste the super expensive ice cream.

This place should be like 1.0/5.0 on average. I don’t really understand how it has that average, either the reviews are fake or people have sadly never had good ice cream in their lives. When it is warm and sunny, and you're looking for a break from the heat, and to indulge your sweet tooth, this is the place to go. I have enjoyed going there with a friend of mine on several afternoons during the week, and have always enjoyed the experience. Inside feels cooler as they have air conditioning, somif you are feeling warm you'll want to be seated inside. I enjoy the selection you get, from just ice creams, to ice creams and toppings, crêpes, and waffles, to a combination of those. You get Mövenpick ice creams flavours you do not get in the supermarket, making if for a special treat with family or friends when you go out. I have personally enjoyed the waffle and ice cream, and the trio of sorbets and different toppings. Service is always very friendly, and you are left feeling you can stay there to enjoy your ice cream while relaxing. I bought their ice cream and sorbet a few times from convenience store. I didn't know they had an actual cafe! I was searching for a cafe that's open after 6 ( most ice cream shops close early in Zurich), and I found this! The waffle was so delicious. Super fulufy inside and crispy outside. The chocolate and espresso ice cream were very good. The ice cream had chocolate barks in it. Their sorbets are amazing. We tried apricot, passion fruit and berry ones and they are awesome.
