Eros hair-styling — Local services in Taipei

This is the most expensive haircut I’ve ever had in my life.

I appreciate that the website has descriptions of each stylists personalities, making it easy for clients to select the most suitable stylist for individualized care. All the staff were very friendly and professional, and some were proficient in English. For privacy, I will exclude names in this review. The stylist did a great job at cutting my hair in a shape that best suits my face - I have no concerns here. I then showed the dyeing technician the reference photo attached for the colour I want. I appreciate that he took time to explain the shades that would look and eventually fade the nicest based on the photo I showed him. After sitting in the chair from 1100-1730hr, I was honestly disappointed to see my hair had only 1 colour of highlights and slightly brown overall. The purple was beautifully done but my hair lacked the ash undertones I was looking for as per the reference photo.

The biggest problem: The total was over $1000 CAD for my hair (see the receipt attached)! I understand I needed 2 bleach throughs and I bought shampoo/conditioner for maintenance, but I have never paid over $600 to get a full head of highlights from virgin hair WITH products included in Canada.

My biggest mistake was not asking for an estimate prior to starting the process. Both stylists I had are skilled at what they do and although the end result is not exactly what I wanted, I would not have mind if the price was more reasonable. High end hair service at a high price. I was in Taiwan to get some photography done and needed to get a perm. I quickly searched for a place and found Eros. I want expecting much but received great service from the initial consultation, hair technician and friendly staff. It wasn't until the end I realized that my perm and hair styling(didn't ask for it) would cost over 5000 TWD (4600 perm, 1000 for 3 min style). I didn't think they would charge me for a 3 minute style. I got a perm before, elsewhere, so I was expecting somewhere around 3500. As a guy, I think I have simple hair. Next time, I'll ask...

Honestly the worst haircut I’ve gotten in my life. I’m writing this review as I’m in the chair because I’m utterly gobsmacked at how bad this cut is. I requested a low taper fade and provided photo examples from multiple angles and ended up with my sides basically razored down with an over cut. Multiple times I attempted to redirect the cut and fix it but the stylist would not pay attention to my requests. If you want a fade or anything other than a scissor trim please do...
