Utroo café — Restaurant in Xinyi District

This cafe is my new obsession! There’s such a bright, open industrial vibe when you walk in and the staff are so kind and generous.

I came for an early dinner at 5pm, and there were people already eating but also people working on their laptops. My friend and I ordered set meals, and I was honestly surprised by the amount of food for the price. She got the chicken meal set with pineapple black tea ($360) and I got the chicken salad set with lychee green tea ($320). This little charming cafe is truly a hidden gem, the service by the staff was impeccable as our water glass was never left empty (constant refilled). the coffee and tea menu are extensive and special with the taste surprised us in a good way. it was not like other cafe we visited in taipei whereby there’s minimum order and limited time allocated. Came here on a whim and were positively surprised with the cafe. The attention to detail when serving coffee, tea, food or dessert makes you feel special. The staff is does not stress and serve everyone politely. Place is used by many to read or study. Can be busy so reservation is recommended (yes, for a coffee shop).
