FOUR hair concept — Local services in Taipei

Would not recommend for foreigners/non-Mandarin speakers :/ Prices aren’t listed online but I was willing to invest for a good style. My budget going in was NTD$8K which is fairly average worldwide.

I wanted a cut and highlights done but was quoted NTD$10,600 just for highlights. That’s not an investment, that’s a scam haha. After more back and forths in broken English, I was then quoted NTD$6,300 just for highlights. It took 47 minutes just to get this second price.

I can admit that I did not know it was a boutique “high-end” salon so I apologised and said that I’ll just do a cut and go, which was for NTD$1,300. They then proceeded to get my hair washed.

After my hair was washed, I had to wait another 25 minutes in the chair before my hair was even cut. It was ridiculous. When the stylist finally came, I asked her if she was with another customer and she said yes. Super confusing, I don’t understand why that’s even allowed, and I wish I had just stood up and left.

I felt really small and bad after the appointment, as if I was difficult to service because I couldn’t speak the language (even though I was using Google Translate) and because I wasn’t willing to pay such a steep high price. I was made to wait over an hour before a scissors even snipped off a strand, even with an appointment made.

上周四下午給Una 剪頭髮，非常失望。十年來剪過最難看的頭髮，完全沒有這家店的高級水準，收費又貴。我到的當天因爲疫情嚴峻店裏沒客人（只有另外一兩位客人），每一位員工都在滑手機。通常FOUR這家店每個位置滿滿的，但當天沒客人。所以會想説設計師會更珍惜願意來訪的客人，結果完全相反。當天跟Una 討論要剪髮的長度跟髮型，她不但說爲何要剪髮、上次才4個月前剪髮，我心裏就開始感覺怪怪的。接著我們雙方用手筆了幾次我要的長度，Una問我要不要剪短，我説不要，我强調我生活忙碌而且工作有一定的專業需求，所以不要頭髮亂翹、要好吹好整理。畢竟我給Una 剪髮幾次了，她應該要懂。結果她剪的長度就是最會亂翹的長度，剪完之後我說怎麽這個長度、比我們溝通的還要短，Una就跟我辯論，讓我感覺非常不尊重客人。好像她是客人，我應當接受。接著我過去幾年染白髮是給Queen染，過去都不錯，但Queen很愛推銷產品。每次去就要推薦更貴的護髮，當天說今天唯一一次產品折扣。這些動作我客氣拒絕。我也懂得說店家需要額外收入，可能給員工抽成或給壓力要推銷。但讓我很不高興是本職沒做好，客人今天來到你店染髮、護髮，你護髮根本就沒有護。Queen說要幫我做 “快速護髮 $800"，結果就是染髮之後冲水、洗髮再快速膜潤濕。然後就吹乾。整體（剪、染、護）收我 $6000，我心裏有點懷疑。我當下沒有特別説什麽，因爲通常回家自己洗頭髮、整理之後才是最準。而且給她們弄頭髮也幾年了，沒想說會被欺騙。 但隔天自己洗髮就知道完全沒有護髮，根本就隨便潤濕然後跟我收 $800。這種收費方式乾脆給我 $800去屈臣氏自己買髮膜也會比Queen的護髮好太多。 整體來只有染白髮根是合格的。我本來不想公開寫這個評價，但我不想讓其他客人受騙，而且我真的是十年來最很不OK的剪髮經驗，所以還是想發言避免其他人被騙。當天過3天之後我趕緊跑到巷口的髮店（潘髮藝）給她護髮，多花了 $1200但頭髮柔順有光澤。 結果跟FOUR比較起來很誇張。我不是計較FOUR 收費貴，因爲高級店有比較貴的設備跟租金我理解，但我對於結果跟服務非常有意見。要把本職做好，但根本沒有，再者疫情中有客人就應該感覺感激，而Una...
