Fathai Apartment ฟ้าไทยอพาร์ทเม้นท์ — Attraction in Chiang Mai Province

Don't be fooled by the 30 reviews on this serviced apartment, the owner kept telling me that tenants stay for years when they find this gem of a place that they never want to leave, that is why there aren't many reviews! I am one of those tenants who stayed for almost 2 years, and I can say with confidence that you will not find a better place to stay in Chiang Mai - the location is easily accessible to Nimman, Old Town, and Jed Yod areas. The various dining options nearby are of top value from Thai foods, to vegetarian, and world cuisine! Fathai Apt. is great for folks (both Thai and expats alike) who enjoy living among the local buzz, and the rooms are well-equipped for all your needs! This place is so good that I am quite sure this random comment on Reddit under a thread I found is talking about Fathai Apt.

"There's a place in Chiang Mai I like that is $130 per month. Though I pay $150 per month when I stay there, as I take the upgrade which includes bedding, weekly towels and cleaning, plates, bowls and cutlery. It includes WiFi, huge smart TV, and a nice balcony. Only 12 rooms. Fingerprint entry, and staff/security 24/7. This particular place is a gem, and I'm not sharing it. There's always a waiting list as it is."

I stayed here from September 2023 to January 2024 and I'm so so glad that (a) I chose Fathai and (b) I was able to book one of their 15 rooms. The place is clean, cool, smart, homely, brilliantly priced, and perfectly located at the slightly quieter end of Santitham. (If you're not sure about locations, Santitham is not far north of the moat, just next to the more famous expat enclave of Nimman, but far cheaper with a great mix of Thais and farang.) Fathai is owned and run by the lovely, laid back Annette, supported by her super efficient, friendly right hand woman, Kratai. It is a brilliant, brilliant place to stay, but I shouldn't be telling you that, as I want to make sure I can still get a room there when I return...

I stayed her for 6 months. Excellent place to stay in Santitham area. Compared to other apartments in this class and price range in the area it is a step above the competition. Nicer than usual TV, excellent WiFi, strong water pressure, truly spacious cabinets, and nicely accented rooms that are well maintained. On a quiet street but right around the corner are tons of great food and coffee options. The owner is friendly and professional and the apartment manager speaks great English and is always quick to respond. Other tenants quiet and respectful. Would absolutely recommend...
