Great new soup restaurant. Clean, air conditioned interior with tasteful decor. The concept here is build your own soup from an ingredients bar. This is a nice feature, especially for a Westerner as you can build a soup you'd never get anywhere else in Thailand. The base they use for the soups is absolutely delicious. Cost is extremely reasonable. You pay by weight and my bowls typical average about 75 baht and these are quite large bowls that easily constitute a full meal. The younger girl who is usually working there speaks good English and is very helpful plus they have a big sign with pictures and English that explains everything too. Here it tastes like it’s made of old animal bones with a greesy film left on lips. I don’t eat pork and beef, I only eat fish and plants, and there is no way to figure out what they used to make this broth.

Read moreI visited this place because I was craving Chinese malatang and wanted the freedom to choose from a variety of ingredients. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. The last time I had malatang here for 245 THB, the flavors were mild, bland and lacked spice. This time, I tried the mala dry bowl for 213 THB, but I found it too salty, heavy, and greasy for my taste, which left me feeling uncomfortable afterward. While the restaurant offers a unique experience, I don’t think I’ll be returning.
