BuaKhao Market — Attraction in Pattaya City

Buakhao Market is a typical Thai market but I find it a bit interesting because I go to the Sun Gym there and I watch them set it up each day starting around 11:00 in the morning. There is also a second Market at the other end of Soi Buakhao at South Pattaya Rd., not to be confused with this one.

The vendors come in and they have carts stored over to the side and they push the carts out and they set up sun shades or if you want to use the term, tents, each day and then take them down each night and pack them away leaving the plaza clear overnight. What a lot of work.

Here, there are not the social programs I am used to and if you want to eat and live you have to go out and work. There are vendors selling everything and this kind of market is the lifeblood of daily life here and contributes to the vibrancy of this travel experience.

This used to be called NIN, and used to have a good reputation. Ownership has changed, so has the quality. My favorite barber there, the one who actually has skills, is either too hung over to come in, or they change her days off. The momma san pushed a new girl at me and I got a quick and dirty haircut, I regret falling for it.
