Turns out, buildings with tall central spires on their roofs like these are called "Prasat" in Thai architecture 🇹🇭
These two were by far the most memorable structures I saw inside the Grand Palace. Especially Chakri Maha Prasat, which blends a Western-style base with a Thai-style roof — it felt like a cultural fusion masterpiece. Like the architectural version of bulgogi pizza 😄

Read more📍The pa-thi-nang-chak-kee-ma-ha-pa-sat building was constructed in the reign of king rama the fifth, to commemorate the centenary of the Chak-kri dynasty. It was designed in Renaissance style, with pure Thai style roof, or the nickname as "The Westerner with Thai hat". On the second hall. there is the central throne hall that use as audiance hall. And on the top floor, the royal ashes are kept.
On the ground floor, in the old day, was used as ancient weapon but now no more.(it moved away.)
