As meat lovers we were really excited to try this place, but were overall pretty disappointed.
From the reviews, it seems like the resturant had some good days, probably in the past.
The meat selection was okay, but over-priced for the fact it’s local meat. We can pay less for high-quality imported meat anywhere else.
Apart from the price, from a resturant that serves meanly meat, I would expect the cook to treat the meat well and with respect - but you can easily tell the person cooking doesn’t have basic knowledge in the kitchen.
We tried Thai Wagyu Burger (300 THB) Kurobuta Pork Chop (350 THB)
We asked the burger bloody, but it came over-cooked and dry. (Although well season) I am not sure what’s the size of meat was but it shrink a lot and half of the time I was only eating the bun itself. It’s not very proportional. The pork chop was fully covered with strong paper sauce.
When a piece of meat is good, there is no need to drown it in sauce, but let the person enjoy the taste of the meat itself. It’s a shame the waiter did not mentioned the sauce or served it on the side.
The taste of the meat was ok, nothing extra ordinary.
Atmosphere: we were the only one in the resturant at that time. Not many tables, country side feeling, music was real bad tho - the same song was going on in loops - only 1 song repeating again and again, imagine.
Food: average
Value for price: over priced for the quality served
Personally it’s not a place I would like to revisit unless a proper chef or someone with knowledge will take over...
Read moreWe tried their wagyu steak (non-dry aged) and the angus sirloin (non-dry aged) and it was pretty decent. I wouldn’t say mind-blowingly good, but great quality steak, cooked perfectly and definitely not easy to find in Southeast Asia. It met our expectations of great steak and is worth its price. I would also recommend the truffle pasta, it was very tasty and matches the truffle scent. We also tried the carbonara, however it was more on the pecorino romano side than it was on the parmigiana side in terms of flavor. The creamy consistency was also relatively good for pasta. They definitely tried and tested their recipes and use actual Italian cooking for their reference. I think their carbonara had some pancetta (and regular bacon), which is almost like guanciale, the meat they use in Italy for their Roman pastas. Our total bill for everything including garlic bread and a coke was around 3000 baht.
Overall, if you’re looking for some great steak in Phuket, this is well worth your...
Read morePremium beef steak in Phuket Town. The selection presented today were all Thai Wagyu beef (regular/dry-aged). Customers can pick the piece they want, the price is per 100g. Pricing is quite expensive, but the quality is good. We got one rib-eye and one t-bone, dry aged, cooked to medium rare and the total weight of meat was almost a kilo. Caesar salad is nice, garlic fried rice was fragrant and tasty 👍🏼 (imo, could be even better if they use the fat from the meat instead of butter🤤). Parking is difficult here for cars. Barely any roadside parking space as this is right next to the old town walking street. Another option is to park in the temple across the road for a 20baht fee (make sure to check their closing time!). Dry aged beef lovers should definitely drop by and...
