A Disappointing Experience in Phuket
My recent visit to Cha Phu a restaurant in Phuket with 8 other elderly friends was unfortunately an absolue disappointment. The green curry and tom yam soup was watery and not up to mark. And a friend had a bad tummy ache and vomited the food when we returned to the hotel. Based on reviews we went to this restaurant. Upon arrival, the place seemed busy, which suggested that it might be a popular spot. However, what followed was far from pleasant.
Firstly, the staff appeared to be severely understaffed, which may have contributed to the poor service. Despite understanding that they were busy, the level of rudeness displayed by the waitress and the counter girl was unacceptable. When my friend politely asked for some cut chillies, she was met with a dismissive and rude response. This kind of behavior is simply not excusable, no matter how busy the establishment is.
Adding to the frustration, we had to wait nearly an hour for our food to arrive. Such a long wait is unreasonable, especially when the staff made no effort to communicate or apologize for the delay. When I finally approached the counter girl to express my dissatisfaction with the service, her response was shockingly unprofessional. She casually replied, "You are bad too," showing a complete lack of respect and concern for customer feedback.
Overall, my experience at this restaurant was deeply disappointing. The combination of rude staff, long wait times, and unprofessional responses made it a place I would...
Read moreHad a great experience here with my partner. We stumbled across this place and they had a great menu selection with very good prices!
We both decided to go out of our comfort zone and order something we don’t typically order. I had the green curry chicken, and my girlfriend ordered the chicken cashew stir fry. Food came out very fast! The moment I took my first bite I thought it was bursting with flavour, but seconds after I got that kick! It was spicy! I don’t have the highest spice tolerance and I did let the server know. I think the staff could see my reaction and they promptly came over to check, right away they took it and came back with a new one with no spice. It was still good, but of course the flavours weren’t as strong because most of the flavour comes with the spicy. I can’t have it all I guess! Lol. Besides that, my girlfriend loved her dinner ! I also finished mine up.
The staff were so friendly and sweet. The chef even came out and asked how it was. I was embarrassed because I felt like a baby, but they were so kind. The juice was also pretty great!
I would definitely come back here due to the great tasting food, and...
Read morethis was one of the worse thai food i have ever eaten in my life. the thai milk tea was super duper sweet, the sweetest you can ever find like 200% sugar. the lava egg crab meat rice had a fishy taste from the crab meat and it’s probably not suitable for kids as there were many shells in it. the garlic pork was very salty. the basil pork rice was bland. the cabbage was the worst thing ever, SUPER oily, didn’t finish it. i would recommend One Chun or Raya restaurant if you are in phuket town, which is just round the corner. *the only reason why this restaurant has so many good reviews is because they offer you a complimentary dessert if you leave them a review. DO NOT...
