If you visit Way Arun in Bangkok, this historical mosque is worth a visit. From Wat Arun, you can search the route in Google Maps and follow it by walking for about 15 minutes. The location is a little bit hidden, in the corner at the end of the street under the fly over. The building looks old but magnificent. Too bad. I couldn't go in the last time I went there. Toilets are available at the back side of the area. Free drinking water can also be found. You can take a rest in a small open building with chairs and table. Just right in front of the mosque, you can find some halal food stalls. I guess they are open late in the afternoon or evening because when I got there at noon, these stalls are closed. Oh, I also met very friendly mosque guards in this Tonson mosque.
If you're visiting Wat Arun, don't miss this nearby mosque, just a 7-minute walk under the bridge. I had the chance to pray Zohar here, and Alhumdulillah, the environment both inside and outside the masjid was very peaceful. This mosque holds historical significance as well and offers separate arrangements for female prayers. It's a great place to take a quick break from the touristic atmosphere of Wat Arun. The mosque is nice and clean, and only a 10-minute walk from Wat Arun. I attended Friday prayer here, and it's especially convenient for Muslim travelers wanting to pray after their visit to Wat Arun.
I have been there today with my Thai friend he is Buddhist yesterday showed me a lot of temples I also wanted Turkish Muslims to show him a mosque we were there on Sunday I was schokiert whole mosque was party walked with tents also inseit where is prayed many chairs and a table. It should take place there a nikah no person there we were not warmly welcomed all were already dressed almost wedding party it is a shame that I go there without sightseeing Unfortunately, I would have to experience something like this
my family will travel to bangkok in the middle of december 2018. The first we must visit Wat Arun temple. I try to search at the goggle map of the mosque/masjid around Wat arun. SUPRISE.... it turns out there is a historic mosque 500 meters from Wat Arun temple. I like finding priceless treasures, Alhamdulillah and these tears immediately flowed on my face. dan kini tgl 21 Desember 2018, aku telah menepati janjiku.. aku telah datang ke tempat yg indah ini. Alhamdulillah. Allahu Akbar..
It is a beautiful mosque in Thonburi, which was built in the Ayutthaya Kingdom era during the reign of King Narai in 1688 by Chao Phraya Ratchawangsanseni (Mahmud). It is regarded as the oldest mosque in Bangkok and Thailand. In the office of the Ton Son Mosque, you can see the old Ottoman Empire coat of arms relief on wooden background. The office is on the other side of the road and you need to 50-100 meters to go there.
Dont miss this if you are visiting the Arun Wat. Very close to the Arun Wat. 7mins walk under the bridge. I got to pray Zohar in the Masjid. Alhumdulillah very peaceful environment inside and outside the masjid. This Mosque also has historic importance as well. There is separate arrangement for female prayer. A quick break from the touristic Arun Wat.
