It's a fun way to incorporate art in an accessible and easy (and often free) way in the Istanbul commute. In a city where everyone is constantly running around, often using the metro, it's an eye-catching gallery right under Taksim. I went to Ay Tozunda Yürür Gibi (Like Walking on Moon Dust), which explores identity and identity formation, and found it enjoyable. It doesn't take too long to walk around the entire space, so I would definitely recommend it...
