On the Jumeirah palm tree crown you can get by car along the "trunk" and then entering the tunnel under the bay or the cable car that runs a dedicated 3-kilometer overpass. Unfortunately, there is no link between the queue and the metro, but there is a connection to the tram line through the footbridge between the Gateway station and the Palm Jumeirah tram stop. After leaving the tram, you need to find a lift, enter it into the parking lot in the building (the entrance to the station is on the 3rd floor) and look carefully for the direction of Monorail. The tram network is connected to the subway at Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Lakes Towers. One-way ticket now costs (2017) 15 AED. A return ticket costs AED 25. The train runs from 10 to 22 every 23 minutes and the ride takes about 10 minutes. The composition is small, so there are crowds, and in the evening it happens that at the station Atlantis I saw a few hundredpered queue .... to taxis 🚖 Worth mentioning is the fact that monorail is not part of the RTA and you can not use NOL cards, you have to buy tickets by buying in automacikach.
Despite the price, it is worth going through this queue, especially if you are sly on the entrance to the first car, because like the metro - and this queue is completely maintenance-free. The panorama of the island from this perspective is in my opinion - an attraction in itself. The track of the queue is arranged on a high flyover which gives an incomparably better view of the area than from the car. Up to now, only 3 stations were open - one at both ends of Palm Jumeirah - Palm Gateway station and Atlantis Aquaventure station, and one near Shoreline Apartments, Al Ittihad Park station (Trump Tower). Nakheel Mall and The Pointe will be...
Read moreThe Dubai Monorail offers a unique and scenic way to explore one of the city’s most iconic areas — Palm Jumeirah. Running along the trunk of the palm-shaped island, it connects the Gateway Station at the base of the Palm to the Atlantis The Palm resort at the far end.
The ride is smooth, clean, and comfortable, providing stunning elevated views of the Arabian Gulf, luxury villas, and Dubai’s futuristic skyline. The glass windows allow passengers to capture some great photos, especially as the train approaches Atlantis.
While it’s not part of the Dubai Metro system and can be slightly expensive compared to other public transport options, it’s definitely worth it for the experience and the views. The stations are well-maintained, and the staff are polite and helpful.
Overall, the Dubai Monorail is a must-try attraction for tourists — more than just a mode of transport, it’s a scenic ride through one of the most impressive man-made islands...
Read moreWorst experience during our Dubai vacation! To get to the Palme / Atlantis we recommend you to take a taxi or a rental car but not (!) Monorail. We bought 3 tickets in the afternoon (2 adults and 1 child) - no discount for children - 90 dirhams for a return trip. On the way back we wanted to get off at one of the intermediate stops. This was refused to us by the staff at the “Mall” station - we would have to pay an additional 5 dirhams per person?!? We weren't told anything about it when we bought the tickets. Badly trained staff-bad service / bad value for money. Nothing was going on in the mall - if I, as a shopkeeper in the mall, knew about this bad system, I would move my business there. To get to the rail on foot you have to walk about 8 minutes through a stuffy parking garage. If we could give 0 stars, this would...
