What a shambles. Went to the England v France Rugby League World Cup game here in October 2022. The entire area was gridlocked principally due to hopeless venue management into the venue's car park. Had to park a half hour walk away and missed the first 30 mins of the game. Everyone outside was complaining about the shambles of it all. At the entrance gate, the twerp on the gate insisted on keeping us waiting further by finishing writing some personal notes instead of scanning our tickets promptly. At half time. I queued for food and beverages but gave up by the time the second half started as the queue hadn't moved: far too few serving hatches and the staff serving are just hopeless - they know they're going to sell dozens if not hundreds of pints but everyone has to wait for them to be individually poured instead of them being ready at half time for instant service. The whole place is run by amateurs with no sense of customer service. No management fixing the countless incompetences. Our experience was just like the many other 1-star reviews here that date back to at least 2018 so the people running the place are not reading them, don't care and it will never improve. A World Cup event on this occasion, £55 per seat, so a national embarrassment. My first and last time at this impressive looking but...

Attended on Thursday 8th June to see P!nk. The concert was amazing and the Staff serving Food and Drink within the Stadium really helpful and friendly, though the Stewards and Security were lackluster and not well prepared, the Steward who directed us to our seats was telling people to sit wherever they wanted within the block which led to numerous issues of people sat in others seats. Leaving the stadium was an absolute nightmare, the barriers from pre show were all removed, sections around the stadium were quite narrow and use of the barriers to implement a system where people walked on the left would have been a really simple and helpful fix. The Car Park attendants and whole system they had implemented was an absolute shambles, poorly organised and no consideration given to exit strategy other than to ask drivers to reverse park their cars. We were sat waiting to leave our parking space for over an hour and half with no sign of any movement other than multiple cars attempting to edge out to nowhere. This after a statement was released that morning apologising for the issues everyone faced in the first evening, with a reassurance it would be improved significantly for the seconf night - it wasn't and it was a joke that we unfortunately paid £25 for the privilege of, won't be attending another...

Went to watch my first rugby match and it was awesome.... We watched England stuff France at the WC Rugby league match on the 22nd October, it was brilliant and did not disappoint... A lot of confusion with the ticket machine for the car park when we were trying to leave. About 100 people who were queuing up to pay, after 30 mins of sitting opposite them seeing the queue was not moving and the guy at the front waiting for a ticket was stood at least half hour before we started to move. They stayed I think the guy thought help was coming, but it didn't? 5 mins later we;had moved about 20 meters from the exit and there was no one there, no member of staff, the gate kept rising and letting people out? There was no parking attendant/assistant checking people had paid? So we went straight through "we hadn't paid". We couldn't have joined the queue to pay as I am disabled, and as it turned out we saved ourself money and time… I felt so sorry for all those people who stood waiting very patiently to buy a ticket, they would then finally realise they didn't need that ticket and didn't need to stand in a queue for hours? I think the Club lost a fortune that night. We was expecting to pay at the gate, but...

Visited 15/09/2024 for work training course. We had use of exec box 2, to get to this there is an entrance which isn’t well signposted near to to the club shop. Once up either via the accessible lift or the stairs there is a reception desk, which when I attended was not staffed. There was however the computer screen to register car registration for free parking (essential to do!). To get to the room booked there was a solitary sign on this job staffed desk, however it is not clear where to go, luckily a member of club staff was passing and kindly showed us to the box located at the end of the corridor we finally found. The room has an average sized screen to use, the free WiFi wasn’t working so the attentive staff member got us on to another connection. Looked after with plenty of tea/coffee being topped up through the session with some biscuits available too. The view from the box is good, the view inside the box is that it’s a bit dated with a very old kitchen cabinets (piece of top cornice missing) next to a place to hang coats. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First concert attending University of Bolton Stadium. What I will say is the amount of complaints about parking and not being able to leave the venue for around 3hrs is warranted, however, that will be the case if you choose to park at one of the onsite car parks and that is the same no matter what stadium you go to. If you plan better, for example if you get dropped and collected, 10/15 mins walk away you don't have any issues getting stuck. So it's about making good plans. The stadium was well sign posted getting there and once you arrived there were plenty of toilets, albeit busy of course, and the bar was accessible also, again busy but to be expected. The staff seemed fine and attentive from what I could see. I thought the choice of drinks at the bar was fab and most came in nice plastic little bottles with a straw. Expensive, yes but again to be expected. All in all a good first visit and I wouldn't hesitate returning to watch another music concert
