I have been a regular and loyal customer of Napoleon's Bradford for over a year. I've always preferred it to the more up-market options of the Grosvenor & Victoria Gate in Leeds simply because, until a few nights ago, the staff have always been much more friendly. That was until last week when I had a winning hand missed by both the dealer and overseer, Reece. That's not supposed to happen in a casino. That's what overseers are for! So I had to report it to the floor manager, which I did - in a constructive and polite manner. He was great and ensured that I was paid out, and gave me a complementary drink. So far, so good. However, I later approached Reece to explain why I did what I did and ensure that there was no bad feeling. Sadly, on top of being sloppy in his job, he was very aggressive about the situation and clearly went out of his way to "Mark my card" with other staff. Such a shame as, until then I'd enjoyed friendly relationships with the receptionists, bar staff, cashiers and croupiers. Fortunately there are other more professional operations available locally (Grosvenor and Victoria Gate). UPDATE - BECAUSE OF MY REVIEW, MY ACCOUNT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. IVE BEEN A FRIENDLY AND LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR 16VMONTHS WHO MADE A COMPLAINT, IN THE CORRECT MANNER AFTER BEING CHEATED, AND BECAUSE I WROTE ABOUT ON LINE THEYVE CANCELLED MY MEMBERSHIP. Read moreAs we entered the restaurant it looked very good, I noticed it had been refurbished and it looked very inviting. However, the food didn’t seem quite as good as on our previous visits. I had a prawn cocktail, as did my cousins husband, we both agreed, it was tasteless, I would usually really enjoy this starter but it has put me off from ordering it again. Also, the vegetables were a little too Al Dente for all 4 of us. I will request for them to be cooked a little longer on our next visit ( next Friday 21/07/23 ) This was the first visit by my cousin and her husband to both the Casino and its restaurant, they live in Brixham in Devon. They both enjoyed the over all experience. The staff were very helpful with discussing the dietary requirements of my cousin, she has a cows milk and dairy allergy. My cousin told the staff her dessert of Chocolate Brownie, was the best one she had ever tried. We all enjoyed our drinks. The starters were very very poor prawn cocktails came in a glass you put drinks in and very tasteless definitely not class prawns very very cheap ....
The smoked fish was very cheap tasteless and the egg on top was snotty....
The steak I received was the poorest steak I have ever had in a restaurant in my life ... tasteless yet again very cheap poor cut of meat ... but very expensive prices
The best part of the meal was the cheese and biscuits the best part of the meal by far
I will say all the staff was excellent The service was second to none
But unfortunately because the quality of our meal was extremely poor We won’t eat there again even though the staff was excellent
A shame that a company so well known Buys in cheap food to sell at top prices Seems to be the way these days .... in a lot of places ...
