Flutter & Fern — Attraction in Carlisle

Carlisle is full of hidden gems. There’s Castle Chocolate, Luna Amatores and Bookends to name a few. But my ultimate favourite is Flutter and Fern. The shop is still in its infancy although Joanne has been creating gorgeous artwork before then. She took the brave and bold decision to open up the shop and now sources the most unique and gorgeous crafts from across the UK. Every birthday present and treat I need 70% of the time comes from here. This is an ideal pocket money shop for both kids and adults. Who needs a coffee when you can get new washi!

Such a lovely shop, me and my girlfriend visit often.

It’s there perfect place to sit and peruse the massive book of stickers or even look up and down the large wall of enamel pins.

I bring all my friends here when they visit Carlisle it is a brilliant small business with brilliant artistic stock.

My favourite place has got to be the table full of blank paper where artists are encouraged to doodle and draw. These drawing have been used to decorate the shop before and I hear the owner is thinking of creating a digital album for her website!

I’ve been in twice now, always saw them online on tik tock and finally went in earlier this year and my god was it a good idea! 😁 Joanne is so friendly whenever I come in and even though I’m normally really anxious to go into shops I always feel welcome ☺️ so many amazing products from lots of amazing small businesses with a huge selection 😄 as a whole super friendly (especially for neurodivergent people) and lots of beautiful products!
