Brooklyn House Bed and Breakfast — Hotel in Carlisle

We stayed there for our Wedding at Gretna Green. On the Day of our Wedding the breakfast consisted of three burst poached eggs that the landlady brought in giggling and making excuses for. Any normal human wouldn't even have offered such a mess. They would have dumped them and tried again, but No! this one seemed to take great delight in presenting this mess for our Special day. My wife was naturally upset but asked me not to make a fuss and let others ruin our Day. This I humbly accepted and said no more about it but now it's over and we are happily at home I will leave this review and Revile the place for all to see. She tried to ruin our day, hopefully the public will take notice of this unhappy episode and avoid the place for the rest of eternity. In the same street there are other B&B's of good repute, we just chose a bad one. They do not deserve good money wasting on them. Far better for all they just go out...

If you're looking for a friendly,welcoming, clean place to stay with a lovely breakfast, then give the Brooklyn House in Carlisle a try. Situated a few minutes from the centre, sits this quaint little guest house. Lynn & Steve are impeccable hosts nothings too much trouble. My visit on this occasion was to see family and attend the Carlisle Race for life. Previously , i have stayed in different hotels but on this visit i decided to try something different and i certainly wasn't disappointed. At £110 for 2 nights, |B &B it's a bargain. My room was well equipped with everything I needed and looked like it had under gone a refurbishment.|I definitely will be returning when I'm visiting Carlisle in the future.|Well Done...

Due to Step Daughter giving birth, we needed to stay over as a last minute decision.||We seen Brooklyn house as we drove to the hospital, so called in and thankfully Steve had a room for us.||It was warm, clean and very comfortable. Great on-suite, tea and coffee, TV and no hassles. Steve was very welcoming, helpful and friendly, was a real pleasure to meet him.||Breakfast was at a time of our choice at 9pm and was brilliant. Extra's were offered (tea & toast) at no extra cost and it was delicious.||Just a 2 minute walk from the town center, everything was on hand for something to eat and drink and buy almost anything you wanted with such a wide...
