EASTERN SPICE, Indian takeaway — Attraction in City of Edinburgh

I ordered from this Indian takeaway for the first time and was seriously impressed! The food arrived hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Every dish was clearly made with care—rich, aromatic curries, perfectly cooked rice, and naan that was soft and pillowy with just the right amount of char.

We tried the butter chicken, lamb rogan josh, and vegetable biryani—each one a standout. The spice levels were spot-on, and the portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming. It’s clear they use quality ingredients and traditional recipes.

Had food from here before and v good unfortunately tonight ordered food at 6.30 waited until 8pm no sign of any food. Phoned Eastern Spices and they said hadn't got order as they couldn't access their own website. However when we told them payment had been taken we were told that the payment wouldn't go through. However we now can't access this money and who knows if payment will be taken! We were then asked if we would want to reorder by phone but declined as already waited 1hr 30 mins and they wanted another payment. Dont think so. Sorry but won't order again which is a shame as food...

Ordered through Uber eats, no sign of the food after 2 hours so i decided to call the restaurant. The food had been delivered to the wrong address even though the correct address had been inputted through Uber and while explaining the situation to the restaurant I was met with hostility and 0 accountability. “Your fault” “that’s not our problem” “you’re lying” were the types of responses I was met with when trying to explain my situation. The food is probably great too bad they have no understanding of the basic principles of customer service....
