Cheylesmore Manor House — Attraction in Coventry

I would like to reflect on the proceedings of my wedding, which took place in December. Shannon and Kieron were extremely helpful in organising the ceremony, and they did a fantastic job. However, on the big day, there were two ladies present—one who kindly assisted us with signing the documents (she was very pleasant) and another who delivered the official wedding speech. Unfortunately, I was five minutes late due to an unforeseen circumstance, which can happen at a wedding as not everything always goes according to plan. I expected the lady delivering our speech to be more understanding and empathetic, but that was not the case. She repeatedly stated that the ceremony would be canceled if I did not arrive immediately. Again, I was only five minutes late. She also mentioned that there was another wedding right after ours. However, it should be the responsibility of those in charge of scheduling to allow sufficient time between ceremonies in order to minimise stress for the couples. As I mentioned, unexpected situations can arise during weddings. Considering the cost of a venue like the Black Prince Room (which is indeed beautiful), it is important to ensure that couples feel comfortable and are not subjected to additional pressure. Threatening to cancel a ceremony after just five minutes of delay and sighing in frustration in front of the guests was unnecessary and created added stress. We could not recommend Cheylesmore Manor House enough, from requesting a visit to look around the different rooms to the day of our wedding everyone was amazing. Communication between ourselves and the ceremony coordinators were flawless and I cannot thank Kieron enough for arranging for us to have our ceremony streamed at such late notice! He really pulled that off for us which we will be forever grateful for. Our registrar on the day took the time to speak with my husband before the ceremony and was very personable which was lovely, she made us both feel very comfortable and welcomed. The Black Prince room was perfect for our ceremony, beautiful and stunning for our intimate wedding, our guests commented how beautiful it was afterwards. Not listened to... I got married here. The ceremony was lovely, the building is so beautiful but we had some problems with the staff. In the meetings beforehand, the staff would question my decisions to not have bridesmaids or have anyone given me away. We told them we did not want confetti (we were having some at our reception venue) but they sold confetti to our guests on the way in without consulting us. During our ceremony the registrar still asked who was giving me away, to which I said no one and then the ceremony coordinator lied and said I changed my mind, even though I was very clear the whole time. At the end of our ceremony the registrar forgot my name. Overall our wedding was lovely and beautiful but I wanted to leave a review because these were quite annoying details and it was upsetting because they ask you over and over how you want it only to...
