Alex is a superb barber & stylist. He's a perfectionist who likes to get things right. The moment you walk in his place you are welcomed and put at ease. It's a nice touch and makes the experience that little bit more personal. He talks things through and gets the results that you're looking for with his expertise and attention for detail. He's a true artist and professional. I have been having my haircut by Alex for over a year and I highly recommend a visit if you are in Bakewell. It'll be worth it - I'd never go anywhere else. I use this barbershop fortnightly and have been doing for some time now. Alex and Adam are both great lads with good banter yet remain professional when needed. Never had a bad haircut yet, and always worth every penny. Only thing missing is a beer whilst you wait!

Another thing to notice is the attention to detail by both guys. Not just to the precision of the cut they give you but also to the surroundings, cleanliness and comfort etc of their clients. And also to certain restrictions and guidelines in place at the minute due to the coronavirus.

Having struggled to find a decent barber in the peaks, about a year ago I happened on Shaws in bakewell, a great find. Alex and Adam are great, nothing is too much trouble, they really want to know what you’d like done, offer professional advice if you aren’t sure and really care that they provide an expert experience and that you are happy with the results. Great looking shop, friendly and clean. If that’s not enough they have had understood how to keep you covid secure and maintain the usual high standards. Top lads....
