Hangman's Cottage — Attraction in Dorchester

I parked here only to go for a lovely walk in Thomas Hardy Explorer. Very limited parking as it's mostly permit holders. Very narrow roads. The walk was 2 mins down the road with a beautiful river on one side and an allotment, fileds on the other. Turn left and follow the path which leads to John's pond and follow it to the left which turns into a long circular walk around the field. Turn right which leads you back onto the high street. Very pretty walk...

Totally peaceful... Talking too a gent who had his dog in the river for exercise.. And many more dog walkers.. Fields and allotments on one side.. And a good fish and chips shop further down.. And of course the Sun inn at the north end of the river walk. Where we are now going for a cup...

Private house with no entrance. You can enjoy the idyllic location as part of the Ratty trail around Dorchester or the close by Roman villa. There are a couple of benches nearby on the streams edge, and you can see the doves flying around the roof...
