Bournemouth had always been my family holiday destination in the 70's and 80's and i also went here with my husband a few times, when staying here in June 2018 we were sad to discover how grubby and rundown places were. We arrived at Bournemouth coach station and it was disgusting and filthy not what tourists should see when they arrive everywhere was dirty and needed money putting into it to make it a pleasant experience. The open top bus tour ride was also disappointing can't remember how much we paid now but again bus was dirty the driver was nice enough but said that only a few of the headphones were working we were expecting commentary so were again disappointed, no one else on board found a working headset either. The parks and gardens were nice in places although a lot of homeless people now seem to be sat on the ground and some we had to walk around for safety, such a shame always loved Bournemouth but that was sadly our last visit.
