Julia and Iain made us feel welcome the moment we walked through the door . I stayed there with my 7 year old grand daughter and we had the twin room on the top floor . |Spacious , clean and fresh room . Comfy beds and we both slept well during our 6 nights there . There is a fridge in the room and you are provided with fresh milk and water daily . As well as tea bags , coffee and biscuits . |In the bathroom , there are flannels , a hair turban , lens cleaner , shower caps , sun cream as well as shower and hair gel and a rubber duck .|You have to give the duck a name and take it home . Read moreWhen my 30th birthday holiday to luxury in Dubai was cancelled, my husband booked this last minute trip to Blue Waters Lodge to salvage some sort of celebration... and oh what a magical stay it was.
Jacquie and Colin (and Snoopy 🐶) were just the most superb hosts; friendly, helpful and informative, they couldn’t do more to make sure our stay was perfect. They were attentive to our every need and provided the most welcoming atmosphere! Such genuine people with a wonderful sense of humour. They advised us on where to eat and what to do each day, always giving spot on advice.
Our room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean - not to mention in an ideal location in Paignton. And breakfast..... just superb! Cereal, fruit, yoghurt, toast, cooked breakfast... ANYTHING you want, they will do. I am gluten free and they pulled out all the stops to provide me with a phenomenal breakfast each day.
Our break here was made extra special by Colin and Jacquie, not to mention the huge pod of dolphins we saw on our sunset cruise from Paignton harbour.
Thank you and we will see...
Read moreJulie is very rude..if she takes a dislike to you she will certainly let you know about it. In fact she became pity and wouldn't even look or speak to my husband. She asked me what he would like for breakfast. Even my young children noticed the cold reception we received. We felt very unwelcome and it definitely had an impact on our family holiday. The family room was extremely hot being on top floor (wasn't supplied a fan), my children felt uncomfortable at breakfast as they were pressured at eat (my youngest felt the need to put his left overs on my husbands plate so that he wouldn't get pulled up over it), cups in the room were not changed/or were dirty. There were hairs on the sheets and around the shower. Invasive cameras above the door. They even made a point of hiding the sweet tray on the welcome desk from my children. It was a very sad and disappointing stay. We were even missed off their Xmas card list last year haha. Just awful. Wouldn't recommend which is sad to say after we've been regulars for so many years. Bring back...
