Monty's Jewellery — Attraction in Exeter

What a brilliant discovery (on recommendation) - a shop that has developed from being "the bead shop" to an amazing independent place for handmade jewellery, its own workshop and possibly the best customer service in Exeter!!

They fixed a delicate, broken, necklace that the original big name "Jewellers", and their supplier, couldn't do, (nor another, once reputable, Jeweller).

Monty's also had the knowledge and experience to be able to confirm straightaway that a repair was possible, and offered options.

Shortly afterwards, I picked up the repaired necklace which they also reinforced and amended to help avoid future damage to the original "badly designed" piece.

Having seen such lovely jewellery made there, and experienced such knowledgeable, experienced and customer service centred staff, they will be creating a special piece for me soon, from valued items left to me.

Very helpful and friendly, would definitely recommend. All members of staff gave considered and constructive advice and listened to my concerns about the work to my wedding ring. Their workshop is on site which I really liked. The work was carried out ahead of their timescale and my wedding ring looks like new. Very happy, thank you to everyone involved.

The second piece of work was to my engagement ring; excellent service again. The staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They reset the stones in my engagement ring, replaced the lost diamond and resized it for me. It looks like new, even better to be honest as the claws look more secure now. Jo at Monty’s Jewellery designed and made our beautiful wedding rings. They are so precious to us and have so much meaning behind them. My wedding ring fits perfectly to my engagement ring and my husband’s is a blend of white gold and yellow gold from a ring that belonged to my late Grandmother. It’s also engraved with an infinite wave which symbolises our love or the beach and his love of surfing.

Jo was so creative and patient during the session we had to design our rings and it was always a pleasure to pop into the shop and see the rest of the lovely team too.

Jo also designed my wedding earrings which are elegant and timeless and I can’t wait to wear them time and time again, and remember my special day for many, many years.
