Close your eyes, breath in at the dockside and all the pirates in your mind come to life. Really wanted seaside town, lovely old buildings good food available at reasonable prices. Not forgetting the ice cream. Mon

"BRIXHAM HARBOUR OFFICE 19"...... Recently reported by 'Devon Live', with the local Gray Seal population photographed caught up in 'plastic pollution', much to the dismay of the local Brixham residents........Gray Seal studies are taking place around the U.K., as to determine just how much 'plastic pollution' is effecting theses Romanisk Sea Swimmers. These studies show that every sea animal examined in U.K. Fishery Waters has 'plastic' some where in the animals body'......." WORLD NEWS".........Over Eight million tons of 'plastic' has been dumped in the World's Seas + Oceans, with distant islands + wild life beaches taking all day to clean of plastic, only to be covered in plastic again, the next night..........'INTERNATIONAL FISHING NEWS'........"THE ALBATROSS"......Seabird with the longest wing span, records for distance unpowered natural gliding flight, over thousands of miles of oceanic seas, 15 of the 22 species of 'ALBATROSS' are now endangered + threatened species because of 'INDUSTRIAL FISHING', with trawler fishing lines being up to 80 miles long, catching 'Dolphins + Albatross + Turtles' which drown after being hooked, the industrial trawler fishermen showing little empathy for their uncaring destructive profiteering......Look out for the 'GANNETS' in the local area........"BRIXHAM HARBOUR...

Loved brixham. We went for a week's holiday in may 2017. As we had not been here before we were surprised to find the weekend of the may bank holiday was the Brixham pirate festival. We had a great time practically everyone were dressed as pirates. They had bands and a huge ship had come into the harbour. They had mock battles with cannons and muskets. And there were also stalls a plenty. Everyone is well behaved and your allowed to wander the streets with a tankard of grog. We are planning another trip soon and this time we're going to dress the part. If you fancy going book early close to the harbour park up the car and spend the day having fun. All the kids loved it and there were some really cute pushchair pirate ships. Nobody minded having their picture taken but I was polite and asked first. You get some fantastcic costumes people really look the part. Keep your eyes open for the man and lady pirates with their parrots they don't mind a stroke. The harbour transforms practically overnight into another era. While your looking at everything it's easy to forget what time your in. Look out for the dancing lady pirates and the lady playing the herdygurdy I think that's how you spell it. It's a great sound very...

Brixham Harbour is a popular tourist attraction when visiting south Devon. It is a lovely place to meander around looking in the quaint small shops that offer souvenirs or food. The harbour itself is still a working fisherman harbour with many boats moored up after a time at sea catching the local restaurants fish, there is a large fishery there too sending out their goods nationwide. There are many pleasant restaurants to have lunch or dinner in, some with lovely views of the sea. Whenever I visit Devon I always make my way there for a visit, walking my dogs along the mile walk to the white lighthouse and back and then stopping at the fudge shop at the end of the high street for a bag of mixed flavour fudge. Although busy to drive into in the summer months, an easy visit any other time...
