Read moreLoved brixham. We went for a week's holiday in may 2017. As we had not been here before we were surprised to find the weekend of the may bank holiday was the Brixham pirate festival. We had a great time practically everyone were dressed as pirates. They had bands and a huge ship had come into the harbour. They had mock battles with cannons and muskets. And there were also stalls a plenty. Everyone is well behaved and your allowed to wander the streets with a tankard of grog. We are planning another trip soon and this time we're going to dress the part. If you fancy going book early close to the harbour park up the car and spend the day having fun. Whenever I visit Devon I always make my way there for a visit, walking my dogs along the mile walk to the white lighthouse and back and then stopping at the fudge shop at the end of the high street for a bag of mixed flavour fudge. Although busy to drive into in the summer months, an easy visit any other time...
