Keswick Extreme — Attraction in Great Britain

As part of our Hen Do weekend we did Ghyll Scrambling with Keswick Extreme. Our group varied in experience and confidence with water activities so when booking with Keswick Extreme they helped us determine what activities would suit our group best even if they could not offer the service.

When we arrived the whole team were lovely and full of energy. Scott was our instructor, he was funny, kind and considerate. He helped put us all at ease throughout the whole experience offering alternative options so that everyone felt comfortable and not pressured into doing something they did not want to do. We were not rushed to move faster at any point so we felt in good hands and very relaxed.

Even though we had activies booked with a different company in the afternoon the whole team checked in on us when passing which was lovely.

They are a great company and I would recommend Ghyll Scrambling to everyone no matter their skill level.

We had an amazing time with Andy and received the utmost attention with my girlfriend and myself being the only ones doing the ghyll extreme! Andy knew the ghyll like the back of his hand and with us being the only ones going down the ghyll we truly had an unique experience! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Keswick and would recommend Andy as your guide! Things to bring: Swimwear underneath the wetsuit Dry clothes for after Sneakers that you’re okay with walking through water in. If you do not have any they provided some but if you have a big group they may not have some for everyone. Athletic shorts for outside the wet suit so it does not rip when sliding through the rocks. They provided this for us but if you have a big group probably don’t have shorts...

What an amazing experience. Seriously, you HAVE to do this. I was a little apprehensive at first, as were my children. But after the initial shock of the (not quite warm bath) water temperature, we all warned up surprisingly quickly. The buzz from sliding down the rocks and jumping into clean, fresh water was quite phenomenal. We all felt 'alive' and it was a tremendous experience - the best I've had in a long time. The guide we had (Shaun) is hugely experienced and a lot of fun. They run a professional, safe and friendly outfit with quality kit. One last thing - their dog, Zebedee is the craziest, loveliest and most caring dog I've ever met and we loved having him with us throughout the whole experience.
