Bit over priced, breakfast was a bit meh, opened at 9am but weren't taking food orders until 9.30 as were waiting for food delivery.

Capitalising on the biker scene, but a decent greasy spoon will do a better breakfast at half the price. Oh and the bigger beverages are only a smidge larger than the standard.

Edit: judging by the defensive, thinned-skinned, hipster response, any feedback that challenges the owners conceit that they are "special" does not go down well!

And now you mention it, I could taste that extra welfare in the breakfast...the tinned baked beans had tasted like it had been fed organic water by a hippy holding a dream catcher and the frozen hash browns had been blessed by Tibetan monks, the tinned mushrooms handpicked by pixies who had voted for the green party.

It's just occurred to me why the kitchen opened late! They were platonically hugging the bacon - with its consent - and giving inspirational quotes to the sausages to help their self esteem. Obviously I was over-generous giving this 3 stars now witnessing this attitude. Woohoo owner, way to go, you got business skillz. Fake reviews? You channeling some good...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Filling Station, a restaurant with an American truck stop vibe. I ordered the veggie burger, and the staff were very careful to check if I was vegan or vegetarian before making it. I really appreciate this extra attention to detail, as it shows that they care about their customers and want to make sure that everyone has a great experience.

The veggie burger itself was delicious. It was juicy and flavorful, and the bun was perfectly toasted. The fries that came with it were also very good. They were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

I also had the opportunity to meet two of the staff members, Zarah and Brad. They were both very friendly and attentive. They made sure that I had everything I needed and that I was enjoying my meal.

Overall, I had a great experience at The Filling Station. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was fun. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good...

I'm sorry to say the worst thing I can say about the Filling Station Cafe is that I don't get to visit enough. And I haven't visited enough but the times I have been we have never been disappointed.

It's an old car garage turned into a cafe - rather well, actually. Although it's tiny compared to many cafes, and if it were bigger more people could enjoy it's charms, yet that might very well change it to it's detriment!

The food is great - whether it's a bacon sandwich or pancake stack for the kids, it won't disappoint.

Be warned, it does get very busy, especially with bikers in good weather (e.g. the summer). We generally managed to go for morning coffee, so afraid cannot comment on the cafe when really busy, but we've enjoyed our...

Phenomenal café just out to Keswick! Haven't had café food that epic in a long time. Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Extremely well priced - I would even say under priced! We ordered the Eggs Benedict and BBQ Burger and couldn't fault either of them...perfectly runny eggs, silky hollandaise, juicy beef patty, and creamy coleslaw. Absolute perfection! 👌🏼

I stopped in here after walking up Skiddaw. Nice not having to go in to Keswick for something to eat. Food was nice and had traditional breakfast and the portions were ample. Lots of motorcycle memorabilia in the cafe. Only 5 or 6 tables but lots of room to sit even though you may have share a table when busy. Regular size americano and breakfast came to £10.
