Read moreWe came to Little Saigon Takeaway on their Grand Opening Day. We arrived at 5 mins past opening time and we were the first customer (yay!) and we had such an amazing lunch! 😍
First up we had the Saigon iced coffee and Matcha iced tea to drink. If you've never had these before, they are milky and sweet, very indulgent drinks! Just like what you get in South East Asia 😋
For starters we had the spring rolls and summer rolls. They came with their individual sauces. They were both amazing! If you haven't tried Vietnamese summer rolls, I definitely recommend it. It has char siu, prawns, vermicelli, and veggies inside - and comes with a peanut dipping sauce. But if you like to stick to what you know, the spring rolls are very good. The fillings are hearty and the dipping sauce works really well with it.
For mains we just had to try the pho as well as the banh mi. I went with the char siu & wonton pho from the Grandma's Recipe. The portion size was huge, they put lots of meat and if you want you could add more sauce to taste. My partner had the grilled pork with lemongrass banh mi. It's a very tasty baguette and the pork was amazing!
The staff were absolutely lovely and made us feel welcome. I am so happy to see Vietnamese food in Keswick. We will definitely come back soon and try the other dishes in...

A sign was placed at the till, which was printed and well sealed between two plastic boards, so we thought the till might have been out of service for a while. A few minutes after we ordered, the sign was taken away, which surprised me. Two other customers arrived shortly and paid by card. The sign was put back by an older man (possibly a member of the owners) shortly after they made the order. When the third customers arrived and ordered, the sign was taken away again and the owner said ‘it will be solved’. I was sitting right in front of the till so that I witness everything clearly. The base of the sign was not moved at all, making us believe the sign is moving in and out all the time, depending on what kind of customer is coming in. I had some cash with me but if not, they will not let us eat there! Not...
