River St Car Park — Attraction in Great Britain

If i could give 0 stars I would. Dreadful car park, over priced for one. We went to visit the castle as a family ended up paying a ridiculous amount for 4 hours. If I hasn't of pre-booked tickets I wouldn't have bothered to even park up and go to the castle. When we came back with 10 min to spare on the ticket, we were greeted to a parking fine on the car ?? Apparently the ticket was not clearly displayed. It was in full view on the dashboard. So who ever did the fine needs to have their eyes checked. I have displayed tickets the same way for over 20 plus years and never had an issue till that day. Not impressed at all and ruined a family day out. Of course the appeal was rejected, surpise, surpise. Why not try and take more money off an already struggling family. Now more unnecessary stress to try and fight it.. A handy carpark that is near to Windsor Castle. Prices are a bit expensive but most are in Windsor. You need to arrive before 10am to get a space as it starts to get busy after that. Spaces are very narrow for modern cars so if you drive a 4x4 or SUV you are probably best going elsewhere as the chances are you won't be able to open the doors when parked!!!

I came on sunny Saturday on Guard Change day early, it was expected to be super crowdy. I was there at 9.30 am and it was quite empty! So come early if you wish to park easily. Later in the afternoon there would be also some places. It is not cheap, I spent more than 20 pounds for 5 hours. Good thing you can pay online, just download Parkmobile app, register your car there beforehand, upon arrival select 7553 Windsor - River Street and start your count time!
