Spanish Lessons in Inverness — Attraction in Great Britain

I have been studying Spanish for four years now as I was keen to learn the language and I thought it might be an appropriate time to start exercising my brain. It was, however, my first academic learning in decades and I was apprehensive about my chances of success. After the first lesson, however, I was “hooked”! Jorge is a great teacher, always cheerful, with the most unbelievable patience and time for every “pupil” and he even makes grammar (both Spanish and English) seem interesting! Classes are always friendly, relaxed, humorously interactive and enjoyable and in moments of “down time” we also learn about the culture, cuisine and history of the country. Despite being far from fluent, my grasp of the language has considerably exceeded my expectations (entirely due to the teaching) and I now look forward with justified confidence to my travels in Spain. If you have ever thought it would be good to be able to speak another language or, if now retired, you wish to keep your mind active, I can highly recommend learning Spanish. It is a lovely language with many words similar to those in English and Jorge is just the best teacher. He is patient and kind with a great sense of humour and never makes us feel awkward or daft even when we get it wrong but encourages us in our endeavours. I much enjoyed the experience. Jorge has an engaging manner, a sense of humour which combine to make learning from him a pleasure. Unfortunately for me as, probably, the oldest member of the class I find that my recall is so appalling that when it comes to speaking, my memory fails me and I clam up!! However my vocabulary has greatly improved and I can read and understand the language much better. I will be happy to renew my learning in the latter part...
