Due to an appointment across the street, today, I noticed this cafe, (had never seen it before, not in town centre very often, as son lives in outskirts) with time to kill and not having had breakfast, I went in, I was immediately met by a very friendly member of staff and offered various tables for 1 person, I chose where I wanted to sit, I was given a menu shortly afterwards( breakfast/brunch menu) by another very friendly young man, not a large menu thankfully! But cooked breakfast choices, various avocado options ect, I opted for a bacon and tomato croissant with a cappuccino, yet another very friendly young man took my order and we shared a joke when he offered option of either cooked or raw tomato. After length of cooking time yet another man came out with my food, again so friendly and cheerful asking how I was, after eating I asked one of the young men I had met previously, where I had to pay and did he want me to go to the counter, he was so lovely about it and would I mind going there! Once I got there, yet another different young man on his own was making up an order of teas/coffees, apologised for keeping me waiting! I hardly waited any time, asked if I'd enjoyed my meal, was everything to my satisfaction, processed my payment, then stated he hoped I had a good day. On leaving every member of staff wished me a good day and lastly a female member of staff I hadn't previously met, stopped thanked me for my custom and again I was wished a good day. I walked out of there with a big smile on my face as I crossed the road to my appointment. I've never come across in a cafe before, such a friendly staff, thank you, so well appreciated. Whoever runs this cafe you should be very proud of your staff, they are amazingly friendly, will never go anywhere else...
Read moreI really wouldn’t recommend this place. I went there today and had a nice mushroom soup and a coffee. When I arrived I asked if they had WiFi, they said yes and I got out my laptop. I’m on the road and had some work to do. After an hour and a quarter the waitress came over and asked me to leave quite rudely. I hadn’t finished my coffee but I started winding down. I’m travelling on my own . I needed to book that nights hotel. The waitress came up again 2 minutes later and asked me to leave saying this is not an internet cafe. I replied I’ve bought food and coffee and I’m going but I’d like to finish my coffee. She was incredibly aggressive. Finally out of frustration I swore. She then grabbed my coffee with her fingers inside the cup and yelled get out. I said I won’t leave until you’ve paid back the money for my coffee. She said I’m calling security. I said fine, call the police. She left. Another woman came up and said ‘what’s the problem?’ I said I felt that I’d been treated really badly. That I was sorry I swore. That I’d leave but I was happy to pay for the soup but I wanted the money for the coffee back. Eventually she returned the money. I left but I said you lot should not be working in hospitality. The waitress shoved me in the back so I left. Afterwards felt really shaky and tearful. Dont go there. I’d been there an hour and a...
Read moreThis was such a nice experience. The owner and her sister were so lovely. The service was excellent. We got there about 15 minutes before they opened and they opened up and let us come in. I got eggs and bacon on sourdough and it tasted so fresh. The sourdough held up and I've never seen any restaurant give such a generous amount of avocado. The flavors were balanced and it was delicious! Prices were very reasonable and I thought they had a good selection/variety. They also have coffee and bakery desserts.
I wasn't expecting that a lot of the cafes and restaurants (and stores) are not open until 9am and close early, I think because there is less foot traffic following covid. I'm here in late September 2023. Definitely add this as a spot to try in Inverness. Look up the hours to make sure you can get by when...
