We went into Bella Napoli after a friend recommended it to us. A lot of new staff and quiet unorganized. We were sat and given menus and then left for 30 minutes to choose drinks etc, we ordered some drinks and asked for water, that never came. We ordered a starter and two mains and waited about 30 minutes before a young girl came out with two mains and gave them to us. We realized they weren't for us and said she may have got the wrong table and laughed it off. We then waited another 20 minutes before our starter came. It was nice. Our mains came and they were honestly not great. Not as we had expected, highly priced for what it was. Couldn't finish it and a lot left in the bowl. I had a spaghetti and meatballs and the meatballs were so dry it didn't even taste like meat. The sauce was cheap and bland and the spaghetti was more like school lunch dinner. I expected something a bit nicer seeing as it was £12. My friend had tagliatelle Alfredo and it was pretty disappointing. It was flavourless and dry and I don't know how you can go wrong with pasta. No one asked if we were enjoying it as they could see we clearly weren't. They took our plates and we had barely eaten a quarter and no one asked if there was something wrong. We then got the bill and explained to the lady that our meal wasn't great and how it could be improved. She then became quiet rude saying we didn't say anything during the meal even though we never got the chance. Instead of trying to fix the situation she made it worse by saying if we didn't like it then we should have said something during check back but no one ever asked. Absolutely amazing! I have been really surprised at how perfect this occasion was as my expectations are never high until tried. Absolutely recommend this restaurant and I’ve been to a fair few Italian restaurants and this is number 1or2 on the top of my best list! Food was perfect - the taste, the flavour & the portion size! Desert was amazing home made apple crumble with perfect flavours with a nice hint of Cinnamon.The place is as clean as a whistle and the service was excellent lovely friendly waitress with a lovely smile and pleasant attitude! Extensive menu with lots of choice. I usually go to the Trattoria Bexhill so it’s so nice to find one closer to home that I will without doubt look so forward to going to again and this exceeded that restaurants quality without a doubt! Will highly recommend to my family and friends and hope this review serves a purpose to people looking to visit I was so pleased to have had a lovely meal. Music was pleasant and easy listening. Firstly I am very politely asking her if they accept cash, but she trade me as an idiot, very impatient about my question, but who knows if you accept card or no? When we ask the bill, she was standing there and chatting with her friend for almost 30mins but don't give us the bill. My friend ask again and she finally bring the bill. and we wait for another 10mins for the postcard machine, but she did not come. after she finanl come she was asking us if we finished the calculation for split the bill? So ridiculous, isn't it her job to calculate the money? and she compliant that if we didn't calculate it why we ask her to come? What a nice serive! And she friendly to the other couple and nicely said good bye to them. but for me and my friend without any word even though we already went outside the restaurant.
