Cliffe Cottage — Attraction in High Peak

This was my second stay at Cliffe Cottage. It ticks every box you could want....great village location in Castleton, quiet area away from the road, space for 6 adults, takes dogs and the most important point - it is great value for money. Only 1 residents car permit is allowed, but be patient and you should find some on the road at Goosehill by the bridge. The cottage has everything you need for a great stay. We hiked over to Edale and back one day, and enjoyed great food and live music at Ye Old Nags Head and The George. Wonderful location near the Cavern in a wonderful village - pubs, views and proximity to fantastic walking up Winnats and Mam For. Nothing not to like! I would love to have brought some gardening tools to make the cottage a visual jewel - the potential to make it a colourful botanical paradise is a project waiting to happen!
