How disappointing. I came here on Saturday morning with my mum - where to start? It took us 5 minutes just to be given a menu, then a couple who came in 5 minutes after us were served before us, ate their breakfast, paid and left before we even received our food!! Waited almost 40 minutes for a cooked breakfast and eggs Benedict and there was only 1 other table in there!! Really don’t know what was going on, not sure if the chef is new, just forgot, didn’t fancy working - no idea. Had to had to ask 3 times for our food and when it came out it was luke warm with cold plates. A real real shame as I have been before and had a great experience. First time at the Boardwalk Social. Not very busy with sit in customers but a few phone orders coming through, which caused a delay in getting our order. I don’t like this personally especially when you can see the delivery drivers waiting in the cafe for pick ups, it makes you feel that you are not a priority.

Food was ok. I ordered Avo smash but the avocado was not smashed. Disappointed that it was just sliced up on the toast. Didn’t feel I received value for money. Only one slice of toast with 2 poached eggs. Other competitors (Guillemot & Greedy Gorb) serve up 2 slices of sour dough with similar menu choice around the same price, so felt unsatisfied and a bit ripped off. Not sure if I would...

Went here for impromptu lunch and chose it as I had 3 dogs in tow and had read that the establishment is dog friendly. Greeted warmly by sole staff member and welcomed in along with dogs. Premises are narrow so awkward enough to accept dogs but nonetheless no fuss, decor and music were great. Coffee was amazing as was the Fry and BLT. Really good quality ingredients and lovely presentation of food and drink. Service with a smile from staff member and no signs of stress even when things got really busy.
