Ok, it's not exactly a scenic place for a drink. But most craft brewery taps are in characterless grey industrial estates, so it's no worse than the majority of the competition. Besides, that's not the point. The point is that Pressure Drop make some of the best craft beer in London and, as this is the brewery tap, it's always in top condition here. As with all craft brewers, they produce a slew of over hopped IPAs, but the twist is that some of theirs are actually quite good (50m Badge). Personally, I prefer dark beers and their Cast Iron Billy is an absolute belter (careful though, it's far more drinkable than a beer of that strength should be). Very good range of beer on tap and a fridge with cans for drink in or takeaway. On Sundays all cans are £4 which is an absolute bargain . They have a large cold room in the brewery so all the beer tastes fresh and well looked after . The staff are very friendly and welcoming . I'd come here, I confess on my way to Beavertown which was closed but we had a great time! As BT was closed, the brewery was insanely busy but they coped well, I thought. Some people have bemoaned the format and putting a deposit down on the beer glass, but it makes sense to me.
In terms of the beers, I found them a little bit more well rounded, on the whole than the usual craft beer, a little less of the citrus zing, a little more body. I was a big fan of the porter, easily one of the nicest porters...
